This deck is centered on boosting Animar up as quickly as possible to take out the enemy with commander damage in one to two shots.

It's packed to the brim with creatures so pretty much everything cast is going to put counters on Animar, except for a handful of counter cards because it's so important to protect Animar from removal. Many of the creatures allow you to pull other creatures out of the library, keeping the battlefield and your hand full. The main limitation here is colored mana costs so there are few spells (only Vigor) with more than two colored symbols and there are a good number of creatures that can be tapped for colored mana to keep your mana from drying up too quickly. Once Animar has been pumped up enough, the goal is to have trample or unblockable on him to ensure commander damage goes through.
