Thanks, man! I have Oppressive Rays in there more as an alternative to Pacifism than to Banishing Light (I have the Light in my sideboard) Definitely something to think about though, thanks!

Is this based around Boss Ass Witch? If so, you need a lot more draw power. You want to pull your combo pieces as fast as you possibly can. I'd also only suggest running two cauldrons. You only need one, to be honest.
All this is coming from a man who uses BAW as his only standard deck. Keep on living the dream!

I have no idea what Boss Ass Witch is, so probably not?
I figured since the Cauldrons can stack, I have no problem with a few of them in my hand. Disagree though?

Would you be willing to take a glance at my Burn the Forest, Salt the Earth (3-1 FNM) deck? It did pretty well this past week. I'm not getting rid of the Bramblecrushes or the Ember Swallower, but the Mizzium Mortars were a better choice than the Frenzied Tilling, and the Clan Defiance (while good) was at sorcery speed and the Instant Effect/burn effect of Searing Blood was definitely a better choice... could you spot anything else?

I'll take a look.
Thoughts (for my deck) of switching out the Coinsmith for a Fleece Ram?

People have described winning entire games thanks to the sheep. I'd say drop 1 drainpipe, scholar, and coinsmith for three sheep, or all the drainpipes. Discard can be useful, but it can also be dead weight mid or late game.

Actually, I was thinking that the Vermin would be most useful mid-game (if I was going early game, Pharika's Chosen would be a better one drop for the early defence)
With the ability to sac at instant speed, I can effectively stop a topdecking opponent, should it come to that.
Other than the extra life (which the sheep will give me) and one less mana per use (but bi-coloured) I"m not sure what the Coinsmith gives me that the Scholar doesn't.

A zero cost trigger effect. A lower cost activated effect.

Well, if you want some more reanimation, as well as staying power, Whip of Erebos might fit the bill. Sure, you won't ever get the critters back, but at least you have a way to use em again. The lifelink is also great. Idk. Just a thought.

i would take Bubbling Cauldron down to two. the witch can be used to find it since having multiples wouldnt be worth it. I have a similar deck that focuses on the Newt combo and Gary

Having multiples of Bubbling Cauldron is absolutely worth it - remember that the Cauldron's activated ability requires tapping - with multiple on the field, you can re-sac the same Immortalised creature every turn, not just on your turn. (Or you can sac multiple creatures).
@JakeHarlow I've been debating about using the whip. Still not completely sold on it (as it gets rid of the creature completely). Would be useful if I can't find a Gift of Immortality , but with four in deck (and cheaper than the Whip) I don't imagine it'll happen too often. Definitely something worth considering though.

I had a deck like this recently and it was good fun. I put in some Dictate of Erebos , Reaper of the Wilds (free scry on creature death) and Sanguine Bond in there as well, although you could use Vizkopa Guildmage instead of that. Dictate of Erebos is particularly vicious when combo'd like this as it can kill any creature, albiet your opponents choice.
Also note that you can't re-sac the same immortalised creature each turn since the Gift of Immortality doesn't come back into play until the next end step. I found the best time to sac creatures was during the post combat main phase so you can do it in your turn and your opponents turn. This can leave you open to some slow removal in your opponents turn if you arent careful though.

Oh man, I hadn't even considered Dictate of Erebos - that's brilliant! Thanks. Definitely like the Guildmage idea too.
'Next End Step' refers to the end step of the current turn (unless you're doing it in the end step, in which case it's the one the turn after). So, as long as you have the sac engines to do it, you can sac a creature in your turn, have the GIft return at that end step, and then sac the creature in your opponents turn (and have the Gift return at their end step as well). Each turn saccing.

Yeah I thought you meant sacrificing the same creature multiple times per turn, my bad.
Also I forgot to mention I used Ogre Slumlord and Pack Rat for even more nastyness in the creature dies department. Champion of Stray Souls was nice to get creatures back too, but he is pretty expensive to cast.

Athreos, God of Passage. Oh yeah, and Ogre Slumlord are great cards to run in the Bogbrew Witch + Bubbling Cauldron + Festering Newt + Gift of Immortality combo.

Few other good cards are Pharika's Cure and High Priest of Penance, I'll put my deck up later!

I've been looking to build a deck similar to this, and there are some great ideas here. Thanks.

Thanks! It was really fun to play while it was in standard. =)

Banishing Light , not Oppressive Rays. Rays is a lot less versatile, it doesn't matter real late game... It's more of a sealed/prerelease/draft card.
