Small creatures to dump out quickly and work together. Swing together to trigger battalion and Akroan Hoplite abilities. Early toss out Boros Elite , Akroan Hoplite, and/or Legion Loyalist

Along with Judge's Familiar for defense and flying pecks.

Boros Charm, Brave the Elements, both have dual purposes to help protect my creatures, indestructible/protection and to swing through with bigger damage, double strike/protection..

Gift of Immortality to protect my powerhouses like Firemane or even better Banisher Priest. He leaves, he re-enters and I get to exile something else.

Frontline Medic to protect my creatures obviously, it's an army deck, I need my army.

Master of Diversion I like because you don't have to worry about the battalion trigger, if he's alone and your opponent's creatures are sitting alone, swing for 2.

Brave the Elements is perfect for this deck because all but two of the creatures are white and with all these mono color decks running around you bet that battalion can trigger and they can all swing in for big money.

Hammer of Purphoros works well just for haste.

I've seen this deck work as aggro more often than anything else but in times of need I have controlled the board with the exiles.

Also, you can build this deck pretty cheap substitute the Temple of Triumph for guild gates and you're in the money.
