Originally designed to get [[Progenitus using
Feral Hydra
or Protean Hydra in conjunction with Descendants' Path. Then while brainstorming ways to make it work, I decided to use defenders since I already have several elf ramp decks, and I truely love Axebane Guardian and hope someone uses him with Progenitus.
I am considering putting in Artisan of Kozilek, but I refuse to remove Spawnsire of Ulamog, not becasue he is good, but because he is a "7/11" and his abilities are 4, 20, therefore he is awesome.
The only other thing that can scare an opponent more than the big hydra is Eldrazi. Since Eldrazi Spawn share a creature type with the big guns, I formulated a way to make them a force to fear. Toss in the cheaper (but by no means weak) Eldrazi with some low CMC Eldrazi Spawn makers, you can make some big guys fast, or just use the ton of available mana to bring them out.
Here now mostly for playtesting, input, showing to friends, and to inspire.
