I have been trying to build a deck with some of my existing cards that I can use to control the board and strangle my opponent with. This is my first deck, so advice on deck building would be greatly appreciated.

The idea is to use the instants and sorcery to eliminate artifacts and enchantments while being able to bring out creatures that can contribute to building the mid to end game. The brindle boars and strangleroot geists make for good sacrifices to boost my life and to add to the threat of the Voracious wurm and adding to my life with the Disciple of Bolas. With them sacrificed I can then use the Vile Rebirth to exile the "lambs" and to populate. I can target remove with the doom blade, Gogari Charm, Naturalize and Wring Flesh. I also have a bit of mass removal against tokens with the Mutilate.
