Infect died when Fatal Push became a thing, it is still played but it is nowhere near as good or popular as it once was because of that card.

Have Cloudstone Curio, Heritage Druid, Nettle Sentinel, and any 1 drop elf, all on the field.
Tap all three for 3 mana via Heritage Druid. Play any 1 drop elf (2 mana left). Doing so will trigger Cloudstone Curio and Nettle Sentinel will untap. Return Heritage Druid to your hand via cloudstone trigger.
Play Heritage Druid (1 mana left) and return the 1 drop elf you played to your hand.
Now you are back where you started except you have 1 extra mana. Repeat for infinite mana. Add Elvish Visionary and draw your deck.

Oloro_Magic I see. Infect is a pretty bad matchup against my deck, do you think I should still keep 1 Melira, Sylvok Outcast in the sideboard, or has infect really pretty much died and there will be so few infect decks that it wouldn't be worth even the 1 slot in my sideboard?
I see how that infinite combo works now, pretty neat! Do you think it requiring too many pieces, and Cloudstone Curio not being good at all on it's own aside from the combo warrants it not being used in the deck, or do you think it's worth a try at least?

Infect is still around so if it is in your meta then play an answer to it, but overall infect does not account for as much of the meta as it once did as there are too many answers.

I mean it has synergy with Dwynen's Elite, Elvish Visionary, and Shaman of the Pack outside of the combo.

ModernStormPlayer996 I prefer it, usually my opponent doesn't have enough removal to kill me with the trigger. If you think they can, just use it as extra copies of Ezuri so when you cast it you win before the trigger happens. Putting it into your hand was actually why I thought of Pact, because it gets around Grafdigger's Cage. It also beats Gaddock Teeg, which isn't super relevant.
August 18, 2017 12:57 p.m.
Shane True, I'll give it a try and see how it plays.
filthyc4sual Getting around Grafdigger's Cage is significant since it is a card used very often in sideboards and having both Collected Company and Chord of Calling neutralized by Grafdigger's Cage would be pretty rough. Lead the Stampede has Summoner's Pact beat though I think. The sheer explosiveness and devastating card advantage it gives you is killer against many decks. Opponents sometimes audibly groan when I play it, not even Collected Company solicits a reaction like that.

That's your choice. I don't like Lead as much because it means you can't use as many silver bullets, and I don't really like Chord because it usually feels slow and tends to sit in my hand. Lead can be very good though

Looks cool! Because of all your playsets and ramp, I think 2x Doubling Chant could be a huge win con in the place of 2 Shaman of the Pack. Hope it helps! +1

ModernStormPlayer996 G/B and G/W are both very powerful for different reasons. The White version has the better SB cards and the Black version with Shaman can win more easily through mucked up board states and through Ensnaring Bridge. This is why my elf deck is Abzan. I get all the good White SB cards and the Shamans, but you need your mana base to be 100% good to go to ensure you have all your colors consistently within 18 lands. That means fetches, shocks, canopy, caverns. Personally I think it's the best version but without the money for that kind of mana base, I like the Devoted Druid Elves with Chord over Lead.

I updated the deck! What do you think?
August 19, 2017 10:44 a.m.
I think the Curio versions of Elves stink, to be honest. Everything else seems fine.
August 19, 2017 11:34 a.m.
ModernStormPlayer996 I think same as rothgar13. It just seems too slow and clunky.
Otherwise, great job!
If you want to take out Cloudstone Curios just add Dwynen's Elite and Shaman of the Pack.
August 19, 2017 12:37 p.m.
rothgar13 N4kk1 Yeah I agree I should take out the 2 Cloudstone Curio. It is decent but it has seemed to me in the games I played to be, as you mentioned, clunky and slow.

As much as I love Curio it's too slow for Modern, especially with no Beckcall.

Very good deck, but for the love of god get rid of the pain lands... There are many better lands that you could use.
August 21, 2017 11:48 a.m.
CalebMaSmith Painlands are very good on budget decks. They usually hit you less damage than fetch+shock land.
If you make some search there are not too many lands that enters the battlefield untapped early game.
Playing million fastlands are not good either and those are more expensive than painlands.

Cool deck, I see that you still have 2 CoC in your sideboard (since you already maindeck 4) and could be replaced with more meta hate cards. Have you tested Fatal Push/Dismember as a sideboard?

Elvish Promenade I feel like I refer this card to everyone who plays elves. It is my single favorite elf spell because it adds so much potential. Damage, Mana, Defense you name it this card can help supply it in an elf deck.
August 22, 2017 6:05 p.m.
Promenade was a neat card back in the day, but CoCo and Chord are mostly just better, and the deck doesn't really have that much room for noncreature spells.
August 22, 2017 6:11 p.m.
Winmigapor says... #23
Well I was thinking if you take out a single Elvish Mystic and a single Devoted Druid you can put in 2 Elvish Promenade and it would pay for itself if there is even a single Elvish Archdruid on the field

How often is your nettle, vizier, and devoted druid really working out? If it is working well for you then disregard what I'm about to say. I think those cards are great in other combinations, but here, I think you're missing out on card like Imperious Perfect, Metallic Mimic, and Joraga Warcaller. In modern Elves, those are pretty awesome cards that have great utility. The idea in Elves is usually pure numbers and buffs, so those cards I named in the beginning that are currently in your deck are slowing down the win condition in my opinion. Yes, you have tutors, but with those tutors you could be building a far more powerful combo.

How has Devoted Druid + Vizier of Remedies been working for you?
Omnath9 says... #1
N4kk1 I agree that the Devoted Druid+Vizier of Remedies does have a lot of potential, especially if I made the deck into an Elf deck with 4 Collected Company and 4 Chord of Calling main-deck and no Lead the Stampede at all, I'll have to try it out.
Is infect really a dead archetype? I don't really go to FNM's and Modern Tournaments that much so I wouldn't know but Infect just seems like a tier-1 deck to me.
