Why I built the deck

My favorite card in recent memory is Drana, Liberator of Malakir , and I really wanted to build a deck around her. Along the way, I found Mardu Ascendancy and thought that it combo-ed really well with Drana, as she makes all of the tokens 2/2 or more, and she fits best in an aggro shell. The deck progressed from there into what you see today!

I don't have a lot of money to throw around, so I'm looking to keep the deck under $100. Currently, the build of the deck on tcgplayer is actually $92, so don't look at the side bar saying that the deck is over $100.

To Do List

• Finalize my Sideboard -> My maybeboard is all cards i'm thinking about putting in side or main.
• Figure out if a third Drana, Liberator of Malakir , or Sorin, Solemn Visitor is with the card slot in the deck.
• Run the deck through a gauntlet to figure out dead cards against certain match ups.
• See if the deck can actually hold a candle to decks like abzan or dark jeskai.

The deck definitely needs work, as I'm pretty new to standard, being primarily a draft and sealed player. I'm open to any help on this deck at all!
