Enchantment (1)

Budget Mizzix deck

Objective:

Build your exp. counters by casting low cost draw spells and counters (especially ones with "X" in the casting cost), and finish the game with an infinite combo- Usually by fetching for Firemind's Foresight and casting it on opponent's end-step to fetch Reality Spasm + Reiterate + Whispers of the Muse to generate infinite mana and draw as many cards as you want. The combo does need around 2-3 exp. counters to start off with, but that's not hard to achieve. You also need 2 red mana sources and 2 blue mana sources to generate the infinite loop with reiterate and reality spasm. With the infinite mana you generate you can then cast and buyback Whispers of the muse to draw your whole deck, or at least until you draw a win con. if you need infinite red mana and you only have 2 red sources simply repeat the infinite reiterate loop once you have Seething Song in hand. with infinite red mana you can kill off your opponents with one of the red burn spells with an "X" casting cost. If for some reason one of your combo pieces gets countered, or you had to use it early, there are plenty of recursion spells to get them back such as Past in Flames and Mystic Retrieval.

The rest of the deck:

Ramp- Wayfarer's Bauble, Izzet Signet, Sol Ring, Thought Vessel, Sky Diamond, Solemn Simulacrum, Fellwar Stone. Playing izzet colors we need to take the ramp where we can get it.

Protection- For Mizzix Lightning Greaves, Riptide Laboratory and Vanishing. For you Meekstone and Propaganda

Spot removal- honestly any of your "X" burn spells do count as creature removal. Since there are several versions of them in the deck, as well as recursion to replay them, you can safely use up one to get rid of a big nasty creature or a problematic commander for example, and not worry about throwing away a combo piece. In addition we do run Capsize, Scour from Existence, Chaos Warp, Prophetic Bolt, and for artifacts Shattering Pulse.

Board wipes- Cyclonic Rift, Mizzium Mortars, Vandalblast (for artifacts), Blasphemous Act, and Crush of Tentacles. The last 2 also affect your creatures so take note of that. Vanishing is a great way to sidestep those spells though.

Utility- Leyline of Anticipation makes nearly everything in this deck instant-speed. Sensei's Divining Top I almost didn't run but eventually decided to. it became obvious that it was a good decision when it saved me from missing multiple early land drops.

Alternate wincons- Guttersnipe people forget about this dude, he can seriously rack damage up, and if it's late in the game and you have a bunch of mana with nothing else to do, send him out and play the waiting game by countering spells and drawing cards. Rite of Replication when casted on the right target is a game winner. Insurrection is a late game winner as well. If you get stifled early on don't give up, play it out.

If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to give your input. It's always welcome. Cheers!
