I've noticed that some pillow fort decks are doing particularly well right now but are under the radar as far as not being in any Top 8 lists, which means not many people are running enchantment hate! Which is why they do well lol. MagicAids made a video on a very good three color list he brewed, but I'm interested in seeing if a much cheaper version (Under 250$ or so is my goal) of the deck wouldn't also work because the main combo is mono-white; let's find out!
Card Choices:
Essentially, the main combo is Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity
, you don't die at 0 life but gain infect count- wait no you don't gain those either. This means its really good against all the creature heavy decks out there right now (Death's Shadow, Humans, Elves & Merfolk of course, Boggles as long as they don't get the nut draw) and burn of course. And it's just hilarious against infect as long as you live to turn 3. Tron makes us sad though. And if you run into the one guy running mill at FNM whoops lol.
BUT, mono white means we can have some spicy hate cards for our bad match-ups! Scapeshift, Tron, Death's Shadow, almost any meta deck honestly, loves to search their deck. So we get to run Aven Mindcensor and Leonin Arbiter and make our opponent sad. Given that our manabase isn't super dependent we can also run a whole playset of Ghost Quarter. I feel these three cards really help out against the Tron matchup which MagicAids mentions is not bueno. And we can fit them in guilt free because our manabase is more consistent in single color!
Now, I've explained how we can't lose in many matchups but how do we win? Well, there are a few options in white. You could run basically any white Planeswalker: All the Gideons and all the Elspeths are pretty great considering you can take plenty of time, but choose one that can protect itself; you can't die, your walkers certainly can. My personal favorite wincons, however, are Entreat the Angels and Sigil of the Empty Throne. The latter is pretty meh by itself but can spiral out of control quickly considering how many enchantments we're running, even if you've played quite a few already. Entreat is more expensive but just pops them out immediately.
Questionable Choices:
So, the numbers on our mainboard hate tech can be switched around quite a bit. Not sure where I want them to be (Aven Mindcensor and Leonin Arbiter), but I like running a playset between the mainboard and sideboard. I feel like they're relevant enough in most matchups to be in the mainboard, and so oppressive against decks like Tron and Scapeshift that it feels really good to have a playset of both there. I've won so many games against either deck by JUST playing Aven Mindcensor.
Nevermore is a VERY cheap replacement for Runed Halo, but it's cheap for a reason... we don't get it until turn 3 and it only prevents something from being played, not useful if it's already out. But that's what Oblivion Ring, Suppression Field, and Blessed Alliance are for.
Maybeboard/Big Boy Wallet Cards
Path to Exile is a little expensive, but more to the point we just don't care about creatures that much. It's a fantastic card alone and especially with Mindcensor or Arbiter out but meh. If you're having some particular trouble with creatures I'd run some, seems excessive though. More Porphyry Nodes for the same reason.
Greater Auramancy is an amazing one-of; it's also almost 50$. Run it if you have the money!
Leyline of Sanctity See above, but however many you feel you need given your local meta.
Runed Halo I already talked about, replace Nevermore if you have big dosh.
Wall of Omens is a cool budget card; it's a big butt that draws us closer to the combo for those games where you're sitting there thinking "Hello? Playset of our combo?" but you might take out some if you're running some of the above cards.

Lemme know what you guys think, possible card additions, removals, and how well different matchups go if you try it at FNM! I haven't actually built this yet so I'll update it with FNM records when I have! Have fun guys.
