Aron, Benalia's Ruin - Menace & ability to buff your creatures with +1/+1 counters. This ability synergises well with Persistent Specimen, sacrifice it to buff the board then return it to the battlefield. Rinse & repeat.

Argivian Phalanx - Quite often a turn 4, 4/4 with vigilance which ain't to shabby. However this card can really shine on aggressive board states, allowing you to go wider for only 1 or 2 mana & will likely survive budget board wipes as well.
