Do you like not spending a crap ton of money on cardboard? Good news! With this new series on standard budget decks that I am currently making, I will show you guys how to spend $15-$25 to beat that $600 standard deck that everyone uses (or tries to at least).
This deck is designed to slow the game down with big blockers and counterspells, and then form a lock using Whelming Wave and Mnemonic Wall.
The lock works like this:
Whelming Wave + Mnemonic Wall = infinite board bounce!(excluding Krakens, Leviathans, Serpents, and Octopuses)
Use the combo of Quickling + Omenspeaker to scry through your deck to look for your combo pieces!
After you acquire 9 blue mana and a Shipbreaker with this deck, you will literally lock the board state up until you win.
The only way that people can defeat this combo lock is if they use a kill spell (which many decks have). This is where your counterspells will be key. Counter kill spells on you mnemonic walls and krakens so that you can actually win.
