So, I want to play my friend in some casual modern, but I'm not a college student/graduate who has about 150-200 dollars+. Since my friend plays Boros, I wanted to build something that didn't have Red or White. I would build Izzet, as that is my second favorite guild, after Boros (of course that would happen), so I decided to build Simic!

This deck utilizes Evolve to kick some ass. You can use early drops like Cloudfin Raptor and Experimental One to get some early stuff to evolve. Then, if you can keep hitting lands, hopefully a Gyre Sage, maybe a Renegade Krasis, but this is where it gets fun.

At the 4 drop, we got a couple of fun things. Master Biomancer, Fathom Mage, and Crowned Ceratok are all fun cards. Then, hopefully, at five mana you can play a prophet, into 6 drop, with Aetherling and Zegana, two of your main win cons.

Aetherling is very underrated and can work very efficiently. He (or should I say it? I don't know) can work as a wall, or as an unblockable 8/1. And if they try to kill it? Bounce it. It's very good. And Zegana, with your Raptors and Experimental Ones? Draw 5-6 Cards. Easy. Swing with them with trample from Crowned Ceratok? Easy peasy.

Thanks, all feedback is welcome!
