Budget Temur Control

Standard RUG (Temur)

613341

This deck is an attempt to use as many commons as possible, as well as a budget manabase, and still have winnable games against the top decks in War of the Spark standard. It is a partial success as it performs relatively well, but Teferi, Time Raveler singlehandedly shuts down the entire deck. That is why quench is in the main deck (I could put in a sideboard but mine is always changing so it’ll be easier if you do that yourself). The general game plan is to never tap out unless you are countering something and eventually win by playing a threat when the time is right. On that note, commence the endgame is perfect for the deck as it is an instant speed threat that is always guaranteed to make a body and draw 2 cards. The weakest matchup is any agressive deck, but as long as you can manage to answer their threats one for one it works out alright. Midrange is usually ok if your draw is decent, and any kind of control is actually a pretty good matchup. The deck takes a bit of practice to play well, but if you want to grind traditional ranked without spending too many rare wildcards on Arena it’s not a bad way to go. In paper the deck is under $8 on TCG Player as well and will do a pretty good job if you are not in multiplayer games. If you have any questions/suggestions/comments about the deck, feel free to comment!
