Excellent point about the protection, I think the Bioshift might not be critical here, and am thinking about replacing it with 2xSimic Charm and 2xGolgari Charm . I'll also swap the two drops, for something more face beaty. Thanks!

A hugely overlooked card by a lot of people right now is Dreg Mangler . a 3/3 haste creature for 3 is crazy powerful, especially if combined with a Rancor during the midgame. The ability to scavenge it in the late game gives decks running him a bit more reach.
I'd also strongly consider Snapcaster Mage if you have him or have the budget for him. Even if he doesn't net you an extra spell, being able to flash in a creature is invaluable against control decks. I was able to wipe the floor with a Jace, Memory Adept because my opponent tapped out and I got to flash in a Snappy.
Lastly, I would suggest a bit more disruption in the form of Spell Rupture and Abrupt Decay . The inclusion of a couple copies of each card will slow your opponent down long enough for you to poke through for the win. It's more of a temp strategy than an aggro strategy, but I've seen it work and it is good.

I am still trying to get the creature base to a happy place. I had been running 4 Dreg Mangler but often found the scavenge to costly, I'm put in Strangleroot Geist because the undying is nice when dealing with wipe and combos nicely with Rapid Hybridization . I don't have any Snappys unfortunately.
My plan vs control was to side in the Golgari Charm and Dimir Charm to protect my creatures and disrupt thier deck a bit. But I should probably throw some removal in the sideboard as well. Thanks for the suggestions.
Do you think I can get away with swapping out the Farseek for more disruption in the main deck?

As long as your curve stays more-or-less below 5, you probably don't need Farseek
.
Strangleroot Geist is a beast in Standard right now because it can trade well with aggro decks and still maintain board presence. Don't waste that advantage with Rapid Hybridization if you don't need to. It's a neat trick, but can trade better for a stronger, albeit less explosive result.

Ok, Farseek out, Dreg Mangler back in, Abrupt Decay hops into the sideboard. Thanks for comments.

consider replacing Zameck Guildmage with Varolz, the Scar-Striped .
varols works well with Lotleth Troll and can vastly improve Dreg Mangler 's scavenge cost (ind addition to adding scavenge to everything)
May 8, 2013 1:35 p.m.
I was actually considering taking out the Lotleth Troll for another Zameck Guildmage and Dreg Mangler . The second ability of the mage couple with undying is huge. The regeneration of Lotleth Troll is nice but I usually don't end up sacing creatures to it. I also don't think scavenging is really that effective given it is only sorcery speed. I usually have better uses for the mana. In my experience, if I am getting late enough in the game that I have a bunch of spare mana to scavange, I've already lost.

Not every draw is a good one, quite often you'll draw a land or something too expensive too cast, there's nothing you can do to prevent that, but having options to carry on the good fight makes a deck more capable to cope with such situations.
In my deck i'm running 2 Zameck Guildmage 's and 2 Varolz, the Scar-Striped .
Zameck Guildmage gives card advantage, and keeps undying creatures on the board, but requires there to be a significant board presence in your favor to be of any use. He does nothing if you have no creatures available for him to target.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped allows you to scavenge cards out of your graveyard, allowing your graveyard to function as a second hand of sorts. And it can use it's regenerate ability to sacrifice undying creatures in order to untap and power them up, or for morbid, or to have a counter on them for zameck or to simply prevent his own death. He of course requires creatures to sacrifice, or he's gonna get killed fairly fast, and he's best to play once your graveyard has been filled up.
They both have their upsides and downsides, why not run both.

also you should look into siding Duskmantle Seer , i had in my main for a while, but more often than not he would be sided out, because he is terrible against an aggro deck, which are fairly common in my meta.
May 8, 2013 6:39 p.m.
Yeah, thats definately a good point, I tend to run into more midrange stuff, so I have it maindecked for now, but I'll definately side it if I run into aggro.
I noticed you were only running 20 lands, does that consistently work for you?

Yes, i don't have a problem, other than occasionally drawing all blue or all black, which is a pain but more lands won't really help there, as then i'll start getting not enough green.
But on the whole, my deck consists of mainly two and three drops, and my arbor elfs allow me to get those out quickly and consistently. With higher cost creatures it might be better to have a few more lands.
Once again i feel the need to suggest that you take Duskmantle Seer out of your mainboard, he's great to side in against decks with a high top end mana curve, but otherwise he's just gonna make you lose. Vorapede or some extra destroy spells would make more sense in your deck for the first game against an opponent, as there's less risk involved.

Ok, I'll try it this way. I brought in a set of Spell Rupture and tweaked the removal a bit. Let me know what you think.

This deck might perform better with Arbor Elf in there to speed up your swagtusk and nighthawk drops.
Remove: 1 Strangleroot Geist , 1 Zameck Guildmage and 2 Young Wolf and put 4 of him in.
May 25, 2013 6:01 a.m.
Waiting a turn for those guys hasn't really been an issue for me, so throwing in Arbor Elf , particularly at the expense of the undying creatures that make this deck work so well early game doesn't make much sense to me. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I'd still recommend putting Arbor Elf in, you can side Spell Rupture for them, which i only really bring in against control.
Also check out my sliver deck!

What do you think about replacing Vampire Nighthawk with Desecration Demon
July 11, 2013 8:34 p.m.
It messes with the curve a bit, but it is excellent scavange fodder and a much more aggresive drop than the Vampire Nighthawk .
July 11, 2013 8:43 p.m.
I like the demon a lot more than the vampire here, the switch makes sense. I've been skeptical about it because of the amount of token based decks running around, but even then it should still be a nice threat.
One thing I was considering is whether Notion Thief wouldn't just be a better SB option against Sphinx's Revelation decks than Negate . It might just be too costly for your deck to keep open 4 mana for it, especially if you have things to do pre-combat, but I really like the idea of drawing off their spell.
Demarge says... #1
it's an entertaining idea, but you lack any form of actually defending your creatures, I'd suggest looking to the 3 guilds' charms that are in your colors to answer this problem. As for the deck's speed I'd suggest swapping out Quirion Dryad (too many mono green spells in the deck) and the Elvish Visionary (not enough beats or ways to abuse the etb trigger) for more aggressive and resilient 2 drops in Lotleth Troll and Strangleroot Geist , both have build in ways to survive removal and both have abilities that add on +1/+1 counters.
