Sorcery (1)

This is a standard BUG control deck I set out to create from my complete distaste for Sphinx's Revelation. I hate that card more than anything in standard right now and I refuse to use it. To solidify my reasoning for not using it I wanted to use BUG as my colors, offering me many of the best cards standard has right now.

No Rev you say?!? How do you draw cards!? Well, we will be using a less... flexible alternative. Opportunity gives us an extra card for 6 mana, instead of 3 cards and 3 life, we simply get four cards. At the loss of being able to draw even more cards late in the lategame. I've also made room for Courser of Kruphix to give me some of that life I'm missing out on for doing what I do anyways, play lands! He also happens to be an amazing blocker.

No Supreme Verdict?! Heresy! Well, we do have a Gaze of Granite, and two Cyclonic Rift. fortunately that's all I think we will need since this deck has a lot of ability to trade 1 for 1, stalling until an Opportunity reveals itself. If we happen to make 9/9 krakens a long the way, then that's cool too.

Suggestions are welcome, feel free to leave a comment and/or a +1 if you hate Sphinx's Revelation as much as I do ;)

Updates Add

So after playing the deck I discovered the deck is good at not losing. I can't say the same for winning however. A lot of my games went to time and ended up being a draw.

I already added Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver to the Plansewalker suite instead of Jace. I'm now losing draw power for pseudo card advantage via Ashiok, but Ashiok can win the game unlike Jace by giving me creatures.

Now by adding another AEtherling, hopefully we have higher chances of drawing into that sooner as to not stall the game any more than necessary.
