Might be worth running more counters to deal with ETB effect creatures and spells. Something like Dissolve stops problems in their tracks and can help fix mana deficiency early on. If you have trouble dealing with early aggro you might want to invest in a few early and efficient creatures to slow opponents down. It's part of the reason Sylvan Caryatid is a thing... slows down aggro while accelerating your game-plan. My simic deck runs Kalonian Tusker to deal with early problems, it just doesn't fare too well against Ghor-Clan Rampager and Madcap Skills draws but it does it's job against most of the cheap problem creatures that gruul tends to spurt out.
Would definitely swap the memory adepts for architects of thought... the filtering is more valuable than the draw or the mill. The deck also looks like it's in dire need of a cheap boardwipe, gaze doesn't cut it...

Divination , Read the Bones , Underworld Connections ?
or creatures like Fathom Mage or Prime Speaker Zegana ?

I highly recommend Hero's Downfall over Ultimate Price and finding a way to add 1-2 more land. If you are looking for some more draw I'd recommend Underworld Connections also a third Jace, Architect of Thought should provide a lot a draw as well. In my current BUG deck all I'm running for draw is 3 Jace, Architect of Thought but I would kill for a good instant draw spell, hopefully the next set has something. Check out my deck Bugging You?. +1

ZToups Yeah i really want to run Hero's Downfall
but i only own one. So i guess i will take out one Ultimate Price
and put my 1 Hero's Downfall
in. I really hope they print a decent instant speed card draw in the next set! I miss Think Twice
so bad. As for a Third Jace AOT, it is the same issue that i have with hero's downfall, I only own two of them and no one at my LGS wants to trade them anymore because they got burned when they bought it for 40$ to netdeck haha.

thewyzman Thanks for the suggestions! I dont really like Divination
because i could just run Pilfered Plans
and it would help me more. I am really looking for cheap(mana cost) instant speed card draw, which is rare now that my beloved Think Twice
no longer is standard legal. The problem with the creatures you suggested is that fathom mage just get destroyed at my LGS when she hit the board and Prime Speaker is too mana intensive for me.

My issue with FMage has always been her mana cost -vs- vulnerability, and Zegana is pretty much a waste of 6 mana if you don't have a beefy creature to make her worthwhile... most pros use Underworld Connections since you enchant a land, and always have the choice to tap the land for mana, or for a card draw, just make sure you don't kill yourself and use it wisely. Otherwise, Read the Bones draws two, much like Divination and PP, but RTB gives you a scry-2 for more options (but again, don't kill yourself).

You have a really good looking BUG control deck going on. I keep racking my brain over how I would want to go about making a bug deck but, in the end I'm never happy with what comes out. That said, a few things i would note are, if insta-bore [aka, Hero's Downfall s] are too hard to get a hold of, Putrefy would work well in its place. Less picky then Ultimate Price or Doom Blade . Why's Liliana of the Dark Realms here? I'd lose her for AEtherling . Play sets of both Abrupt Decay and Far / Away seem a bit much for me. I'd look into removing Lili replace with 1 Aetherling and 1 of both Abrupt and Far n Away to put in 3 Grisly Salvage This would help you to find creatures make land drops and feed the Deathrite Shaman and/or Scavenging Ooze and servers as a weak answer to draw (more dig then draw really). As to missing Think Twice , I didn't think I would miss it at all. It's really a horrible card 4 mana to net 1 card. I was thinking with all the scry going on we get something like Preordain or Serum Visions . I never new I could ever miss Think twice this much but, do.
Plus 1 here, keep it up. GL HF

Thank You Darsul. I will try Putrefy until i get more Hero's Downfall . I like Liliana of the Dark Realms for getting land to filter my deck, then using her -3 to either kill a threat or to pump a creature. I will try AEtherling for a second time. I think that I will take the Lilliana's out for 1x Deathrite Shaman and 1x AEtherling . As for Grisly Salvage im not sure bc i dont want to pitch my removal bc it keeps me alive. Do you know how to put this in to the Top 8 section of Tappedout?

Well I am certainly not going to pay for that! I already spend enough money on the cards haha, not to mention the next-gen consoles just came out!

Maybe Mistcutter Hydra instead of Skylasher in the board, it's better against control, and about equal against mono-blue imo

infinitemana thanks for the suggestion! Idk why but I like Skylasher
. Call me a hipster but I think Mistcutter Hydra
is too mainstream haha. I have tried mistcutter and like him but i find skylasher more enjoyable to play just because he is not something EVERYONE plays. Another reason I dont play mistcutter is because i no longer own any :(

Golgari Charm wrecks WW as most of their quick beaters don't have more than one toughness

blackmarker90 its more of white enchantments but yeah Golgari Charm could def work thanks

I wouldn't play both Deathrite Shaman and Scavenging Ooze , playing six guys who eat graveyards means having a guy with nothing to eat. Maybe try Drown in Sorrow . Also maybe Courser of Kruphix and/or Herald of Torment . Check out my current deck Drowning in Devotion.
February 4, 2014 8:23 p.m.
I think Blustersquall could be replaced with Cyclonic Rift and Skylasher with Mistcutter Hydra . It might also be worth it to reconsider your 1-ofs and consolidate them into 2-ofs.

ZToups I usually only eat instants and soceries with Deathrite Shaman and creatures with the Scavenging Ooze . I have not had problems with having a hungry graveyard scavenger. I have added Drown in Sorrow to the sideboard instead of Blustersquall Thanks for the feedback!
raithe000 I replaced my Skylasher with Mistcutter Hydra , I had that move in mind but didnt have a second hydra til now. Thanks!

BUG superfriends without Kiora? I'd find a way to put her in here.

Yeah I am trying to acquire her...I would prob take out Jace, Memory Adept

Think i'd just put another jace aot into the deck...Kiora has the ultimate, and that can win games but she isnt as useful here as she is in something like bant walkers, BUG doesn't have a boardwipe outside of Gaze of Granite , whuch she could help with, but she's more valuable there as a means to getting more value out of cards like Supreme Verdict and Sphinx's Revelation .

gheridarigaaz Thank you for the input! I will try a 3rd AOT as soon as he comes out in the duel decks and is dirt cheap. I took 2nd place last night going 3-1 and only losing 3 total games. I lost to Esper control which is understandable haha.

Meh. There are reasons 3-color control decks all play 6-8 Scry lands.
Suit yourself, though. It's your deck.
