Trying to make Thing in the Ice   work in Legacy. I figured a tempo-y BUG list would suit it nicely. You can hit them on many fronts, make big monsters, counters, discard, mana denial, access to Abrupt Decay post-board. Playing around with the idea of Vines of Vastwood since Abrupt Decay will be one of it's weakest vulnerabilities.

Why Thing in the Ice  ? Delver of Secrets   Can come down T1 and can flip T2, sure, but that's never a guarantee. With luck, by T3 you have done 6 damage off a flipped Delver. With TitI, you can play it T2, and can pretty reliably flip it before combat on T3, using cantrips, which simultaneously fills your hand with permission to protect your new 7/8. Then, you swing in with no blockers (they all just got bounced) and now you're already 1 point of damage ahead of the Delver plan on T3. Even better, is that TitI doesn't die to a bolt, even before flipping.

Still developing sideboard.
