Not too sure I agree with both of your creatures easily dying to your GofG when you use it.

I really love Gaze of Granite , but to run 4 of them I think you'd want all your non land permanents to be like at least 4 cmc and then have have lots of early game instants/sorceries. Cause right now it can kill your few creatures, your Bow of Nylea , and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver real easily, and Jace for just 1 more. But I guess you have control to play your permanents after you board wipe, so it could be decent still.

what are you going to do about Hero's Downfall

yeah, Hero's Downfall is going to be used in A LOT of decks imo, but as it stands right now Im trying to find a way to use either a Simic Charm or maybe even a Disperse as a safety net. . . maybe even sideboard some Negate s so for a defense against the walker hate. As far as GofG killing off my creatures. . . thats an issue for sure. I will more than likely cut Gaze of Granite down to 3 and slim down some other cards to make it more defensive early and late game while I build to my win con.

I'm not sure how well it'd fit given the 5cmc, but have you considered Prophet of Kruphix ? The untap effect lets you play slightly more aggressive, tapping out to cast, and having land open for their turn. I'm debating having it in the BUG control deck I'm thinking of designing.

I really like her, and I think I want her to work more than she will. BUT Im going to throw her in and maybe play test it a few times. Im running enough mana and could even toss in some ramp. I think she'll be great for agressive control.

You mean like a notion theif / Underworld Connections / Nylea's Presence ?
I think notion theif would be a nice sideboard for opponents that have significant draw power, and maybe adding Nylea's Presence could help with slight card draw and mana correction. . . or are you leaning more towards a straight Divination ?
I aggree, without W, I have no Sphinx's Revelation power card like U/W does

If you don't mind me ignorantly asking, what is your best/main win-con for this deck? I only ask because don't see the typical finisher in the form of a Jace, Memory Adept or AEtherling or whatnot.

The main focus being Vraska the Unseen s ultimate. Gives you 3 1/1 assassin tokens and if they deal combat damage to a player that player loses the game. Also Jace, Architect of Thought s ultimate is a win con for most decks, however I really just like his +1 and -2 abilities. Then there is Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver its -X ability can be a real hard win con vs a lot of decks. I tried to avoid the main control win cons to be a bit different.

Vraska the Unseen 's ultimatum is a joke. I don't wish to be rude, but there are about 1000 ways to kill unguarded 1/1's in Standard right now, especially with no mainboard hand disruption and Essence Scatter as your only counterpower. Vraska was designed to Vindicate something, and +1 to reload for more Vindication.
I highly recommend AEtherling or a hydra as a kill con here, as 3 control walkers are nice, but not quite able to win games on their own.

fair enough, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver doesnt really fit as well as i would like so maybe i'll swap him out for the AEtherling s As far as ways to deal with the 1/1's i have beat people with those 1/1s it isn't always a wincon like aetherling is, but in a pinch a win is a win. i am DEFINITELY not saying she's the best, I'm saying i really like the card and the flavor of it. AEtherling just felt like an easy out for a control player.

I think Vraska's killcon is just too much of a "win-more", ya know? If you have time to ultimate her, then there should be an easier way to finish the job earlier. Didnt mean to appear hostile, I just dont see vraska as the main wincon.
I do agree, AEtherling is a relatively easy out for control players. But its nice to have one option to look forward to if someones packing a ton of Dreadbore and Hero's Downfall .
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is great later in the game, and alright if youre on the play turn 3. I have no idea how she'll work out in your local/competitive meta, but I wouldn't scrap her just yet. Maybe leave her in the maybeboard and see if any similar ideas pop up.

I would like to see Syncopate in place of Essence Scatter .
Other than that, I like seeing the non-Supreme Verdict board wipe, so more Gaze of Granite and some Cyclonic Rift .

Thanks for the response! I figured you were going to say her ultimate and that's part of why I was asking. I have to mostly agree with commodorecanary that in the standard environment that's not incredibly viable to be consistent. I'm ALL for alternative win-cons, though. I also hate just giving in to what is usually played.
I can mull around on the card spoilers and see if I can find another sin-con with you , if you'd like.

Some alternative win-con cards that I like for this deck:
I'm especially happy about the first and third options, here. Also, I really think you should remove both Bow of Nylea and Nylea's Presence . You could bring AEtherling to 2, Sylvan Caryatid to 3 or 4, and than add in 3 or 4 of these cards. Thoughts?

I like Nylea's Presence for the limited card draw it produces, but yes. I like shipbreaker kraken a lot as well. Thanks!
