Magma Jet is the first thing to come to mind in regards to future Theros adds. What should go out?

I'm thinking the Dissolve s (moved into sideboard, probably), as I think they perform the least. Personal preference has taught me that I like responding to things at end of turn more than I like straight-up countering things. Not sure there, and that's only two slots. Thoughts?

4-2 currently for the Asp. I'm cool with that, as Giants have a good chance of going around, and we're still open to colors.

I have a similar type build for my deck, Izzet Over Yet?, but I honestly never thought to put the hammer in the deck! I have two sitting around doing nothing for me at the moment, I might put them in. Feel free to give me any feedback you want on mine, I'm looking for advice.

About yours though, why did you only go with one Anger of the Gods , and in your sideboard at that? To me it's a great turn 3 boardwipe against agro, and it kills stuff like Fiendslayer Paladin which can't be Magma Jet ed or anything. I ended up killing three of those suckers and a Banisher Priest my buddy was using in a monowhite for a come from behind win.

@corythackston ~ Aye, the Hammers can do wonders, especially if the deck doesn't necessarily need any more than four mana to do all the heavy lifting. I'll take a look at the list and see if I can't find something to say.

In regards to Anger of the Gods , that's an issue of what I have on hand. Two more will go in over the Flames of the Firebrand assuming I can acquire them. While I won't deny it's ability against aggro, I'm not so fond of its usefulness against the other matchups. Also, I'm highly critical of Sorcery speed spells in a deck like this. As for Fiendslayer Paladin itself, I've found that I don't mind it too much when alone. So long as I can deal with the other threats, it's a minor annoyance until I find a solution for it (usually overloaded Mizzium Mortars ). Hammer of Purphoros really shines there, as the Golems effectively shut off Gods Willing and Brave the Elements .

@corythackston ~ Hammer even lets you be crazy and keep 6-land hands whenever that rare event happens (twice so far for me - both opponents were less than impressed. As for Anger, at worst in my sideboard I still have it in for two out of three games when I already put up a decent show against aggro. Plus, given the awesome performance of my existing mainboard-burn, I'd have to start cutting into Steam Augury and win-cons to make room for them.
