I just started MTG less than two months ago so I don't know too many cards just yet. That said, Avatar of the Resolute is one of my new favorite cards from the DTK set. I made two decks revolving around counters to make him relevant late game. Here is my GR rendition of it.

My intro deck was GR "Insatiable Hunger," so a lot of the cards in this deck are inspired from it. I like having lots of cards being relevant at all stages of the game if possible.

I would likely not deconstruct this deck after some of the cards go out of standard so I could have an okay deck to play casually. I like big creatures and Fall of the Hammer for removal of things with deathtouch and the such. Shaman of the Great Hunt helps me get out more counters and cards should I need either. I believe the combo of creatures with trample and Shaman is pretty good, but then again, I'm pretty new to this.

Advice appreciated as I'm still not good enough at MTG to know whether or not this would be good in standard.Know any better cards? Please let me know!
