This is my attempt to make a basilisk tribal/casual deck. The deck had some Lure-Venom strategies from old basilisks but sadly old basilisks don't synergy well with the new ones because they lack deathtouch so I eventually dropped them.
The deck exploit deathtouch in two ways:
Deathtouch + Ping cards : It is the best way I have to deal with big treats, since it allow kill almost anything without losing a creature. It makes the 'control' of this mid range deck.
Deathtouch + Trample : By themselves they are well, quite weak. The stronger basilisk is a 3/5 however when my basilisks are boosted they can hits for massive damage since deathtouch+trample can deal 1 damage to the blockers and all the rest to the player. Here is the 'aggro' of the deck.
Scryb Ranger helps with the control side of the deck. Since it allow me to ping twice a turn.
Rancor and Gigantiform are where the main power house cames from. Hunger of the Howlpack synergize well with the deck overhall and Revenge of the Hunted can be a real miracle in the duel, otherwise it is too heavy.
The 'Elephant in the room' can get ridden of any permanent, includng walkers and vanilla 3/3 shouldn't be a problem against this deck. However he isn't very reliable(he is heavy!) and is better as a side card.
Mortality is there to give a winning chance against indestructible focused decks. Hexproof is also a problem it can get ridden off but indestructible is far worst.
2x Slime and 2x Beast Within are better choices then Terastodon most of the time
4x Veil give my creatures some protection against black and blue.
2x dizzy gaze is thematic and better then Fire Whip but only against flying creatures.
