In my efforts to abuse Landfall and Worldsoul's Rage, I'm trying to make a consistent and competent deck that can compete with 4 Sol Rings decks at our casual table.
Update 1: I did several tests through this website and came across a lot of issues of drawing to many high mana costing cards without the means to play them, even with more lands then usual in a deck. Resulting in needing to minimize the some higher spells to go with more consistent plays.
Out: 2 Rampaging Baloths
In: 2 Spelunking
Update 2: Often running into issues where I either can drain my hand and start top decking on turn 3-4 without having a treat or just not having anything to play in general. In turn I also don't find a need for Sylvan Safekeeper more often then not. issa, Resurgent Animist finds herself more often then not each time I play a Sac land. SO her dying (who is often the target) isn't a big deal.
Out: 4 Sylvan Safekeeper
In: 4 Pillage the Bog
Update 3: I recognize the ease of how to cause this deck to fall apart, being graveyard hate. Cards like Witchbane Orb and Leyline of Sanctity become much more valuable at my table as a result. I do find a lot mana is worth spending, and Witchbane Orb doesn't care what color, although Leyline of Sanctity can be played for free OR from colors produced from Nissa and Lotus. Adding them to the Maybe board to keep them in mind, not adding them directly without testing.
Update 4: Did some testing with my actual play group this weekend, the deck performed incredibly every time I brought it out. The only change I want to make is adding Shigeki, Jukai Visionary per WORLDSOUL RAMP DECK, BY DANCAM from mtgdecks.net.
I added one in and was able to snatch up WorldSoul's Burn and Pest Infestation from my graveyard and kill his artifact giving him Hexproof using Shigeki, Jukai Visionary.
I also was VERY impressed with Pillage the Bog in play testing. Being able to basically Scry was very helpful.
