Since the opponent goes first, I don't think it will be too big of an issue to deal with actually. Cast them if they didn't throw out anything too threatening, send them to the graveyard and cycle them otherwise.

Actually thats a good point Bromjunaar we shouldn't worry about the dorks interferring, since you get to pick from 3 cards right?
since we all like shennanigans, would you please take a little glimpse at a deck im trying to build? based on clones :)

As far as the AEtherling thing with Guild Feud unholycookies, no abilities or spells could be used during the resolution of the effect of Guild Feud . So Sir Blinksalot would not have time to get out of the way, assuming he does end up fighting something. Which is awesome.

But would it able to be activated while it is on the stack waiting for them to fight? Or does the entire spell resolve at once?
December 2, 2013 12:55 a.m.
Assuming the AEtherling is put on the battlefield as a part of Guild Feud , the effect would resolve all at once. It can't be interrupted by anything midway through. Same thing with ETB effects: they can trigger during Guild Feud , but won't get put on the stack until right before players get priority, which is after the effect ends. So AEtherling would have to fight like a man.

That's why we just use this deck to kill it with fire. And possible Worldspine Wurm .
December 2, 2013 1:59 a.m.
OK, I couldn't resist. I made a Guild Feud deck. I haven't put in Possibility Storm , that might be a bit too much for one person to handle! Definitely thinking about it though. As it is, it runs pretty well. Let me know what you guys think!
December 2, 2013 2:53 p.m.
Today i tested the deck in a standart tournament... i won the 1st round easily, i "stormed" the Worldspine Wurm and my opponent instantly gave me the game.
But in the 3 next games it was too too too bad, i didn't played the Possibility Storm because of not drawing lands or the opponents kill me in the 4 first turns... 3 games, 2 rounds per game without playing Possibility Storm ...
after have tested the deck all i can say is that it's a very fun deck to play and if things go good you can win games but it's too hard to play the Possibility Storm , if you don't play a land per turn you will lose.. :/

Got this deck (or close enough) set up on Magic online. Won a great duel, check the image to see the crazy chaos that occured. http://imgur.com/HseOqIR

@kalash: First off, I'm honored that you decided to take this deck to a tournament. I wasn't really going into this deck build with the thought that it would be standard competitive, it was just a crazy idea to shake things up a bit at a local FNM. It might be viable if it was a little faster, but like you said, it can be hard to survive until you hit 5 lands and Possibility Storm , and even then it has the chance of backfiring. I was going more for fun then I was for competitiveness. That's the way I like to build, because if I'm not having fun playing Magic then I'm not going to be playing Magic. It's a personal thing I guess.
Maybe the next set will bring us more options to this build, time will tell. It might be faster if we added in green, for stuff like Sylvan Caryatid and Satyr Hedonist , but then it loses a bit of potency when you get going.
Again, thanks for playing my deck, it means a lot!
@tactical_grace: That's a lot of tokens....I approve! I'm sure your opponent was in............... Shock !

I don't think that the gain from going green would be enough to work past the mana dorks that we would keep storming into for creatures. The way it's set up and for what we have availible, Red Deck Burns I think is the best way to run it until we get the Possibility Storm going.

Been playing the Triton Fortune Hunter for a little while. I'm not a huge fan to be honest. It's great when it works, but when it doesn't it really can clog up your hand. I'm going to go ahead and drop it again for a while.

What would you say to running Elite Arcanist in here? With Possibility Storm out, you can cast and recast a Shock long after you've played 4, and still wind up throwing out some ridiculous damage from your other instants.

Alternatively, what would you say to running a GUB deck prominently featuring Elite Arcanist , Silence , and Prophet of Kruphix ?
December 7, 2013 8:25 p.m.
@Surnrnoner: Thanks for the suggestion. My original build had a few Elite Arcanist , but he was quickly dropped due to the 2-for-1 he offers your opponent. It seemed great on paper, but in practice it was either too slow, or just died immediately. Mercurial Chemister can do pretty much anything Elite Arcanist can, but at a cheaper cost and without immediately offering your opponent card advantage.
Thanks again for the suggestion though!

This is just my opinion, but Elite Arcanist just feels very... fragile. It's very risky to use him, and honestly he feels very red to me for just that reason. First off, he comes down as a 1/1 for 4cmc, and is hit from every single removal spell in the format. Yes, I know this is an old argument, but when your creature costs four mana and dies to shock, it's somewhat problematic. Then, since you want to use the effect, you need to exile a useful spell from your hand... and if he does get hit from removal, you've just got 2 for 1'd. THEN, you need to pay the same amount of mana for the spell you exiled in order to play it. Think of him like Quicken , it looks convenient, but he's really just making you pay more to use the spell you probably only needed to use once anyway. I like the idea... but at four mana, he should have at least been a 1/2, probably a 1/3.
I think your idea has merit, and as such I think that Meletis Charlatan might be a good substitute. Good solid body, only costs three (so if he starts in your hand, he isn't a mana sink to storm from), and he allows you to copy every single spell that comes off the storm, instead of just the one that you exiled. Just a thought.
December 7, 2013 8:29 p.m.
@Surnrnoner: I would say that it could be great against creature heavy decks, but again Elite Arcanist is very fragile and dies to pretty much any removal spell you can think of. You would definitely need to pack some ways of protecting the combo, without sacrificing the overall effectiveness of each card. Lord007 made a deck that demonstrates what I'm talking about: Elite Taactics .
December 7, 2013 8:33 p.m.
kyuuri117 hit the nail on the head. Card advantage is something that can win or lose a game for you. Meletis Charlatan has no additional initial investments (other than mana cost), so if he gets immediately killed to Doom Blade , then your opponent had to give up a card to remove it, and it's an even trade. But, if he lives, and you can double a Lightning Strike to kill 2 of your opponent's creatures, then you have gotten rid of 2 of his cards with only one of your own (again, assuming the Charlatan sticks around). Something like that would be much more appealing to me, especially since the body is a bit more durable.

Just kidding, wow this deck. Wow. When i looked at it more closely i realized how insane it was, like...wow. No words, i'm in awe really. Is it possible to be in love with a deck?
December 8, 2013 12:30 a.m.
This deck is awesome! I want to try it at FNM. Just wondering... If You would build this deck with high-budget, what would You change?
Im going to add 2x Steam Vents and 2x Temple of Triumph (to scry and maybe cast Release). I'd add more, but these are all I have at the moment.I might also add 1x Firemind's Foresight and 2x Annihilating Fire .
Dismiss into Dream would be fun to try as 1 of, but would it work? Blast of Genius or Mercurial Chemister turns it to 7 damage, if I don't get it on the field. But in play with storm, I could make opponent sacrifice creature & shoot the real damage to face, or to make 2 sacrifices :)
