@opadei: Thanks! To be honest, there isn't really a whole lot more this deck needs even at a higher budget. The Steam Vents would help, and I could possibly see 2-3 Ral Zarek , but that's really it. If too much extra stuff gets added, things can get really inconsistent, which is bad when we're playing Possibility Storm (which is crazy enough as it is)
@erabel: It really depends on the matchup. Shock is usually a good choice to pull out if you're going against a more midrange deck with fatter creatures. If you need the deck to be faster, you can drop Explosive Impact for Turn / Burn . Things like that. Again, it really depends on the matchup; just try and think about what cards would feel like dead weight against the deck you are playing. I hope that was of some help to you, good luck.

Got that Golgari budget deck finally done, here it is if any one is interested: Things Are Looking Grave. As always, its my first attempt, so feedback would be much appreciated!
Also built a deck at the request of Snowblindblitz: Rakdos Reavers. Also a work in progress, feel free to check it out.

Instead of Explosive Impact you could run Spark jolt , still an instant; way cheaper cost, and can help you dig for land or Possibility Storm . Or if you aren't a big fan of that idea how about Omenspeaker ? 2 drop dig 2 and has a big butt to slow aggro.

Totally building a Modern version of this! +1!

@firerunner36: I don't really think that Spark jolt would be of very much help too often, I would rather have a Shock , as there aren't really a whole lot of things that Spark jolt could ever hit on its own. I do like Omenspeaker , but I have no idea how I could fit him in here (unless you meant dropping Explosive Impact ?). Thanks for the suggestions!
@CanadianSamurai: Do show me when you get done! I would love to see how it looks. Try to keep it budget if possible, or at least have a budget verison for my sake, cause I'm a cheapsk- I mean I'm on a tight budget.

Yeah I was thinking you should just cut Explosive Impact , just seems a bit too 'meh' in my opinion, also possibly cut one blast of genius for a third Omenspeaker seeing as they'll give ya the dig to go find the others.

@firerunner36 i dont think u really get what this deck is about - whats the point in casting Shock just to get Spark jolt ? And when there is only 2 Blast of Genius - u can really cast it only once when the possibility is out :)
@ Araganor Have u considered chandra's phoenix? might be a good blocker at start, and gets kinda crazy "always on the battlefield even if u kill it" with all this burn spells flying towards your opponent

this deck is amazing! i love how you made a deck around the most ridiculous card in standard! this looks sooooo much fun to play and hey, win a FNM with a lot of people you can get this deck! thats how cheap it is! once in done building my current standard deck (always-a-greater-power-grixis-control) ima make something very similar to this. (too bad i cant +1 till this has like 100000000 upvotes!)

firerunner36, The Explosive Impact s are nice to Storm into as well and are also great cards for use with Mercurial Chemister and Blast of Genius as they allow us to deal a lot of damage fairly cheaply. Same goes for everybody's best friend Worldspine Wurm .
Szmitek, that is a really good idea. Not sure why we haven't tried slotting it in yet.

Ok if your going down that way, why not run Boulderfall then?
December 10, 2013 4:13 p.m.
I'd say Boulderfall is great, especially if you haven't lost vs aggro by the time it hits. It's just you're more mana screwed with it if u get it in your hand before Possibility Storm gets to the battlefield.
I think ;]
December 10, 2013 4:27 p.m.
A ton of people have been suggesting Boulderfall to me. I guess I might as well give it a try. I'll make the switch and see how it runs.
I will also look into fitting in a Chandra's Phoenix , since it does seem like a great blocker until Possibility Storm comes out. It kind of loses its luster after that, however.
December 10, 2013 5:49 p.m.
if you want a good blocker i would go with Frostburn Weird . he blocks nicely and when you need him to he hits for 4.
December 10, 2013 5:54 p.m.
plus he survives Anger of the Gods ...........the phoenix doesnt and you wont b able to bring it back from exile

Blast of genius is directed at worldspine worm right?
December 12, 2013 8:02 p.m.
yes and boulder fall (or if he changes it back to Explosive Impact then Explosive Impact ) and extra Possibility Storm s (but i would still keep at least one in ur hand just in case they have a enchantment hate card)
December 13, 2013 11:42 a.m.
@Rhinowarrior: Blast of Genius gives you something to do with expensive spells sitting in your hand doing nothing. If you have a Boulderfall in hand, you certainly don't want to have to cast it and hit a Lightning Strike . Instead, you could hold onto it until you find a Blast of Genius , then cast Blast to deal 8 damage, in addition to gaining a card. It's pretty much essential to have at least 3 Blast of Genius or you are going to get screwed by your draws much more often late game.

Have you thought of using Melek, Izzet Paragon ? It would ramp the amount of spells you can cast, and it would mean you can still cast the spell you paid for.
December 16, 2013 11:04 a.m.
@SasukeUchiha: Yes I have, but he's a bit too slow for my tastes. Also, I could only run 1 since he is legendary, which just feels like unneeded inconsistency. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Thinking about trying 2 Burning Earth in the sideboard against control. It would give them one more thing to worry about, and I really don't need 4 Catch / Release anyway.

As a person that's kind of entirely new to the supported constructed formats (standard/modern/etc), I can see the explanations for what to board in for which matchups, but what's the criteria for boarding things out? Because I really want to build this and take it to an FNM or something.
Also, +1 because Possibility Storm is probably one of my favorite cards.
