I think they meant that if you cast Enter the Infinite of off storm, then landed a Psychic Spiral afterward it could reload what was left but it doesn't work like that does it? wouldn't the cards be added to the deck before Infinite resolved?

OK, now I am really confused! If I do a giant CMC card, I think I would rather go for the Worldspine Wurm like Bromjunaar suggested. That way my burn and draw aren't affected.

If only Mercurial Chemister could send the damage to the player's face. :(

I personally don't see Enter the Infinite being worthwhile either, i was just trying to figure out ho that was supposed to even work... :/ I do like the idea behind Psychic Spiral by itself though, as it helps keep the deck well stocked and can potentially even get some important cards of the opponent's deck out of the way. Most of Standard doesn't seem to interact with the graveyard very much from what I've seen.

@Bromjunaar If that were the case, I could see other formats building around Mercurial Chemister and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn ! That would be insane! As an Izzet mage, I would find that absolutely amazing!!! XD

@Bromjunaar: If it could, I would call that a mythic rare for sure! But, I'm content with using it to keep the board clear.

@ShadowDragon48: I'll think a bit more about Psychic Spiral . I don't want to disrupt my burn, and I don't think it will be necessary. Maybe a sideboard option though?

I love this deck idea. The only addition I would make is Catch / Release . The discard CMC with Blast of Genius is hefty, and the Catch side is infuriatingly powerful since you can snag a full Planeswalker. +1

I love your decks for the originality they have (yeah, these are also probs for your Blightcaster Control which is damn funny too) but this is the funniest and most amazing deck, ive seen on Tappedout so far!
I've tried it out today (because I have allmost all the cards except 1 Young Pyromancer lying around, i just put out one land and the Pyro for 2 copies of Worldspine Wurm for the lolz and yeah. My Friend was playing an UW-Control and he got crushed by this deck. Had Worldspine out turn 6 once, this was hillarious! His deck was completely screwed, the verdicts didnt hit, the revelation was completely useless and the funniest part was, when he summoned AEtherling and got Judge's Familiar .
Keep up the good decks!

@Araganor You're probably right in that Psychic Spiral would more than likely be better as a sideboard option, especially against those painful Dimir mill decks! Those can be so annoying and powerful once the get going... :/

November 17, 2013 6:49 p.m.

On a previous note, Elixir of Immortality (which was brought up earlier, would probably be better overall compared to Psychic Spiral as the Life gain would probably be much more relevant than the possible milling of Psychic Spiral . It also avoids the issue of clogging the burn cycle and guaranteeing you get an Elixir when you cast one, being an Artifact. Elixir of Immortality also much cheaper than Psychic Spiral when cast from the hand, for the few times that would be relevant.

@Knochenkotzer666: Thanks so much! It means a lot to have support for my deckbuilding. I'm always looking for fun card interactions that nobody else expects, or just writes off as "not constructed worthy." I'm glad you had a good time with the deck, and now I really want to try and sneak a copy of Worldspine Wurm into here! Working on a new deck right now, but it's still very much in rough draft form right now.

PS: Screw you AEtherling !

@ShadowDragon48: I'm working on a sideboard, and Elixir of Immortality will definitely be in there.

November 17, 2013 7:06 p.m.

I can't wait to see how the sideboard you are working on shapes up!

As for Worldspine Wurm , you could try dropping the 4th Mercurial Chemister and/or the 4th Goblin Electromancer . Not sure how that would work out, but most of the other cards seem hard to justify changing.

Also, I just started wondering, what happens if you get two Possibility Storm into play? Wouldn't you get to cast 2 spells of the same type for each spell cast from your hand?

November 17, 2013 7:18 p.m.

I wouldnt drop the Chemisters, they synergyze ways too good with the wurm. Electromancer, Guttersnipe or, how I did it because of a lack of cards, 1 Pyromancer +1 Land are things that should be consideret to put out. The Chemisters just make the wurm ways more consistent because they can let you drop it.

November 17, 2013 7:23 p.m.

@Knochenkotzer666 I wasn't meaning to insinuate that all copies of Mercurial Chemister , just the 4th copy as Chemister and Electromancer are the only creatures currently at 4 instead of 3. If only 1 Worldspine Wurm were to be included for an initial test run, my first pick would be the 4th Goblin Electromancer .Obviously, this deck is a bit of an exception to the rule, but generally cards that want to be seen at least once in a game are used in sets of at least 3. I don't have near enough of the cards necessary to try and test this deck at this time, so I can't be sure about the practicality my ideas :/

@ShadowDragon48: To answer your question: Yes, you exile the first card, then cast two spells for free. Chaos ensues!

I think I will drop 1 Guttersnipe for 1 Worldspine Wurm , and see how that goes.

Cards I'm considering for the sideboard:

Elixir of Immortality : Refill my library against mill.

Bubbling Cauldron . Sac an elemental, gain 4 life.

Glaring Spotlight : No hexproof for you.

Pithing Needle : For obvious reasons.

Pyromancer's Gauntlet : More burn!

Any thoughts?

BAHAHA LOOK AT THAT CURVE

November 17, 2013 7:56 p.m.

@Araganor Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that worked the way it seem to. Also, that is probably the most beautiful curve I have ever seen in an Izzet deck! O.o

Worldspine Wurm is going to be awesome if/when it works out! XD

That curve is hilarious.

So I see you made your own version of a Possibility Storm deck. I do Like that you were able to make yours at such low cost. You might want to throw in a silly 1 drop enchantment like Dragon Mantle to storm into a second storm. Nice touch with Worldspine Wurm as well.

deck chart So much for your deck being consistent

@jchudz: Yep, it seemed way too fun not to try and make my own. Interesting idea on Dragon Mantle , never thought about that. It would also not be too bad to hit in the early game, because it replaces itself when you cast it. I'll give it some thought.

@Araganor who knows maybe we'll up the value of possibility storm if we get enough people making this deck lol.

@tundrabear: Sorry! I kind of missed your comment there. Anyway, Catch / Release does sound like it could be very annoying for my opponent, and great fodder for Blast of Genius . I will add it to the maybeboard so I don't forget about it.
