sideboard should have some mass removal spell such as Anger of the Gods against Boros or Rakdos, also the aditional Guttersnipe and Young Pyromancer when you play with some deck with many removal.

so...this deck has too much problem about big creature, creature with toughness 4 or more is so painful because this deck can not kill them in 1 spell (your Blast of Genius is the win condition) in this cast, Arrows of Justice and Chandra's Outrage may be help. if they run many token,AEtherize is the answer.

Black Devotion deck also trobble. Its creatures will drain your life that made huge life swing. if sideboard can change this deck to counter-burn style I think they will surprize,but not sure this would work or fail.

@ssthree: Blast of Genius is just one way to deal a lot of damage, but the main reason it is so good with Worldspine Wurm is that it cycles Wurm back into the deck for Storm. Post siding, Elixir of Immortality allows for the burn spells to be used against creatures without running out of ammo in the mid to late game, including Explosive Impact which can deal with most large creatures. Young Pyromancer makes tokens as well as Worldspine Wurm when it gets hit by removal. This helps to provide a cushion of blockers until the deck really starts to take off, or when it gets set back by a large play by the opponent.

@ssthree Also, for a non-budget option, Lightning Strike could be replaced with Mizzium Mortars for a larger amount of damage.

couldn't you use night veil spector to still use the exiled?

Catch / Release does nothing if cast from Possibility Storm the text on fuse says explicitly that "you may cast one or both halves of this card from your hand". This means that if it is not cast from your hand, you can't cast either of the sides.

I know you're trying to keep it budget but what do you think of Pyromancer's Gauntlet Sick deck thoough. +1 (i forgot how to make my text turn blue and cant fine the article on it,please help ;))

@jchudz Catch / Release can be cast off of Storm, just not for it's alternate Fuse cost. You'd have to pick one side or the other.

Pyromancer's Gauntlet would help give the deck reach, but space is pretty tight in this build

@ssthree: Thanks for the suggestions! I'm thinking Anger of the Gods would hurt me more than them, but I'll consider it.

As for high toughness fatties, I'm thinking a playset of Rapid Hybridization might be exactly what I would want for them. Turn their bomb into an easily burned 3/3 with no abilities.

Against black devotion, Skullcrack might help. I can put some of them in the sideboard as well.

If the Mercurial Chemister ever discards Catch / Release , would it count one side of it or both?

@jchudz: I looked up the ruling to be sure. Here's a link to Catch // Release on the gatherer.

The rules say:

"If you're casting a split card with fuse from any zone other than your hand, you can't cast both halves. You'll only be able to cast one half or the other."

This ruling makes it clear that is possible to cast from a zone other than your hand. So, when casting Catch / Release due to Possibility Storm , I can choose to cast Catch or Release, but not both.

Oh, forgot to mention last night, but Boulderfall would be a good alternative to Explosive Impact , and in addition to being able to spread the damage, it synergizes nicely with Blast of Genius and Mercurial Chemister if you would draw it.

even though its not budget friendly Boros Reckoner would benefit greatly from Mercurial Chemister . If you have to shoot a creature, why not the cow that in turn shoots them?
