Emmara Tandris is pretty much a universally terrible card.

I'd much rather be playing Trostani, Selesnya's Voice .

I'd also replace Heroes' Reunion with Ready / Willing (Even if you can only use one half of the card) As gaining life isn't very good unless the deck is so life-gain focused that gaining life is how you win.

I'd add more creatures, things like Dryad Militant and Judge's Familiar are really efficient creatures that do cool things as well as be beaters.

Yeah, I just got Emmara Tandris because she looked pretty, and I had her floating around anyway.

Basically all my cards are ones I was gifted, got in boosters or got cheap as I've only just started.

I do like Heroes' Reunion though as its allowed me to win many times especially in combination with multiple Tablet of the Guilds . But i do want a couple of Ready / Willing and to swap the Risen Sanctuary with another Scion of Vitu-Ghazi . I've also been saving for Trostani, Selesnya's Voice as shes my favorite and would replace Emmara Tandris .

The life gain has saved me against aggro decks which is why I've found it useful.

For the land base I would suggest Sunpetal Grove and Temple Garden . Hope that helps :)

Also if your building this around Phytoburst you should also consider Giant Growth . It's a great combat and blocking trick.

The main reason that I didn't want Sunpetal Grove is that I'm aiming to keep mine standard for as long as possible. The big thing that put me off Temple Garden was that it's basically a guildgate that has the option of swapping life for a single turn advantage. not my style.

I have Giant Growth but I just wanted to cut down the deck to exactly sixty so I omitted it.

Wayfaring Temple would be a good choice it gets strong super fast as you populate and its very cheep.

It looks like you have really good basics for an awesome token deck. Have you considered Advent of the Wurm or Armada Wurm they're amazing when paired up with Trostani, and you seem to really like life gain so she would work really well with your deck. Adding another Loxodon Smitter might be ideal, and you should consider switching out phytoburst with Giant Growth that way when you choose to attack and they decide to take the damage then you can add 3 additional points of damage for one forest. i know you may seem hesitant about the shocklands but adding Temple Garden really will help and paying 2 life isn't a steep price, especially if it gets you a turn ahead, and you already have quite a bit of lifegain. Also you could switch out Hero's reunion to sideboard and there's also a card called Ready / Willing which could help with your opponents creatures or score a few extra hit points. 21 mana does seem a bit lacking considering you don't have any mana ramp, i would consider at least going to 23, or adding Elvish Mystic or Avacyn's Pilgrim . I play magic with my bf too, hope this helps :)
