The Primer
Overview
Reading this decklist
Reading this decklist
When reading this decklist, keep in mind that it is a control deck, meant to kill off any creature they play, then kill them with a simple wincon.
Deck colors
Deck colors
This deck is a 3 color Mardu control deck, , with a splash of . With these colors, I have access to burn and removal, with a threat of stompy..
Deck strengths
Deck strengths
This deck does well during the late game. Any aggro deck could take this deck down easily, though it is very unlikely, me being able to burn out their creatures on the fly..
Deck weaknesses
Deck weaknesses
This deck has a problem against swarm decks and token decks, but sideboarding in mass removal helps alot.
The Strategy
General strategy
General strategy
The main strategy of the deck is to prevent your opponent from keeping anything for long. Early removal is key for smaller creatures, while higher cmc removal spells are reserved for the late game..
Early game
Early game
Early game is reserved for hand disruption, burn and removal, as well as a short term clock with Goblin Rabblemaster. Your goal here is to rid of all your opponents creature as soon as possible as well as leaving mana open for later threats.
Mid game
Mid game
The Mid Game is where this deck really starts to crank. Pulling out a Butcher of the Horde or Thunderbreak Regent puts your opponent on a short 3-5 turn clock, while you can rid of their threats..
Late game
Late game
In the late game, Stormbreath Dragon starts to do work. A 4 point swing and a possible monstrosity, this guy is hard to deal with. If Dragonlord Kolaghan is sideboarded in, the game is surely over..

Card Choices Explained
Creatures
Creatures
Butcher of the Horde: This guy is an absolute beast, butchering the goblin tokens to feed his own abilities, which could end games very quickly.
Goblin Rabblemaster: Rabble Rabble! Rabblemaster has the potential to smash in with a bunch of goblins that pumps him.
Stormbreath Dragon: This guy, I mean, can get lethal fast. Freakishly fast. Especially when your opponent is playing white, Stormbreath gives no shit to white. He flips them off when he hits for lethal.
Thunderbreak Regent: He flips your opponent off even more than Stormbreath. You want to kill him or his buddy? Take 3.
Other Information
Building this deck
Building this deck
This deck is very easy to build, but requires money. Most of the cards are simple to get, such as the Butchers, every single removal spell, and some of the lands. For those who want to build this on a budget, there are a few replacements you can do without spending too much. The rabblemasters are irreplaceable, but you could put in token generators to save $60 USD. The fetches and pain lands (Other than the Caves) can be replaced with basics and/or gain lands, maybe even a couple Nomad Outposts could work to to save you over $151 USD. Stormbreaths and Regents are very hard to replace, but a playsed of
Ashcloud Phoenix
, which saves you around $42 USD. Every removal spell in the deck can be cheaply purchased, but the Hero's Downfall's can get pricey, so I recommend getting Murderous Cuts, which saves you $30 USD. The Thoughtseize's can be replaced by either Duress or Despise(Whatever works in your meta) to save over $80 USD.
