Let me know what you think of my Xenagos' Elemental Champions.

I dont think I will use Fecundity because I dont really want to give other decks a card advantage at all. Most decks run removal that slow this deck down, I would hate to give them more chances at a win condition or hitting a removal card. I think what I have between harmonize, both garruk and xenagos is usually enough card draw (xenagos ult is type of "draw" in my deck.)

Seems like Arbor Elf is lost now without Utopia Sprawl

I like the addition of Courser of Kruphix but personally I'd go with (2) of them and (4) Utopia Sprawl .

I was thinking about Eldrazi Monument to prevent board wipes but not sure. Gonna test it out.

Hey how about mainboarding Beast Within ? It's strong in the sideboard, but main it's often powerful as well since a lot of decks in the meta rely on specific permanents to win (think Pod, Exarch Twin, Colonnade Control) and it has great synergy with Xenagos, God of Revels since if you need it you can just hit him and get a beast.

March 8, 2014 12:16 a.m.
Good idea on a deck. I think I might build it in place of my mini r/g aggro deck (can win turn 4 :). +1

Definitely an original deck. I've never seen a G/R token deck before. +1

In your description, you say that your Planeswalkers can ultimate the turn they are played for the win. How does that happen, you only add 1 loyalty per turn.

Because of Doubling Season planes walkers can come into play with double the loyalty counters they usually do. It is better explained here:http://boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/8708/does-doubling-season-affect-planeswalkers
You can think of planeswalkers as cards that come into play with 0 counters on them and then an effect of +3 gives them their entering loyalty, but due to Doubling Season it doubles the counters (it is an effect). However Doubling Season does not give any counters when rolling them up, because it is a cost.

Thanks a ton hendrixlhd, I have probably spent way way to much time on this deck, hah. This is by far the best deck I have made for any format and I hope to see if I can make this deck be seen by a lot more people next year.

Saproling Burst is great for tokens and combos well with Purphoros, God of the Forge doing 14 damage the turn you play it, or 28 if you got Doubling Season out.

Devilsmage I took my version of this to this weeks casual night with my buddies and owned them. I didn't try the Orcish Lumberjack but had they been in I would've faired even better.

Your meta is slow enough to get Doubling Season out? Where do you live, I wanna place first at an FNM.

Ive played in different states with it, I have enough ramp cards to make it work most of the time...

Sylvan Caryatid is a good ramp that may work in this deck.

When i first built the deck I had Sylvan Caryatid
s in the deck but I took them out because I needed to get turn 1 drops in, now that the deck is more balanced, those make work instead of Birds of Paradise
, but I am not sure.

I am glad to hear someone else is using my deck. If you would like to test it out on untap.in please let me know and we can chat about it there too.
