From what I have seen, exalted works really well when you just put down a bunch of low cost exalted creatures and don't worry too much about them being 1/1. Why? because you're only swinging with one card anyway, and it becomes a beast. Then, if you attack, pop an Essence Harvest your creature that just attacked keeps the 1/1 counters until the end of turn, so you can hit pretty well with it. Gods Willing is also great, you can use it to stop opponents from blocking your creature, prevent a creature from being killed, or even use it to help your creature block and not die.
