GOAL: I want to create a standard zombie deck while spending as little cash as possible. The deck should overrun my opponent with a gigantic zombie horde! Every creature is a zombie, and many creatures take advantage of zombies and/or zombie tokens entering and leaving the battlefield.
CREATURES:
Diregraf Colossus even if there are few or no zombies in my graveyard, it still gives me "2 for 1" zombies when I cast future zombies. If I cast him late game, he's a beast.
Wayward Servant's drain life effect each time a zombie enters the battlefield; I get a zombie, a point of life, and my opponent loses life.
Dread Wanderer is a great to trigger Wayward Servant's drain life effect over and over again. I've not found it difficult after turn 5 to have only one or no cards in hand.
Festering Mummy seems like filler, but he plays a big part. First, he can be removal with his -1/-1 counter. For the next big part we need to see...
When Plague Belcher enters the battlefield I can put the tokens on the Festering Mummy. Thus I get to give one of my opponent's creatures -1/-1 AND trigger the belcher's "each opponent loses one life".
Anointed Procession and Liliana's Mastery work together very well; I get tokens, DOUBLE the tokens, and they are all +1/+1.
Anguished Unmaking and Never help clear away my opponents creates and/or planeswalkers, and In Oketra's Name gives my zombies the finishing boost of damage, or just a boost if Liliana's Mastery or Lord of the Accursed didn't stick on the field or weren't drawn in the first place.
Ahhh... the crown jewel... Liliana, Death's Majesty. Two turns of giving me tokens, hopefully double and pumped tokens (see last point), and then her third turn out I can obliterate all non-zombie creatures... making way for them to storm across the battlefield to add my opponent into my undead horde. Brainzzzzzzz!!!
My motivation for this deck? I pulled 2 Liliana, Death's Majesty at a sealed Amonkhet fat pack event, and I had some other pieces from the prerelease. I haven't played standard since the Invasion block, and I'd like to get back in without remortgaging my house. Working with what I had, and adding some other pieces from earlier sets, this is what I've come up with. As it's been so long, I'm looking for some advice.
