Well hello!
Have a look at the BWG Lifegain deck i made. Hope you can give me some feedback on this one!
Your goal early onis to be quite agressive with cards like Thoughtseize, Soldier of the Pantheon and cheap removal like
Dark Betrayal
. First two, three turns you just will attacking your opponent and trying to survive.
Later on, more and more controll-type-cards are coming in. With
Sin Collector
and Obzedat, Ghost Council you have some big threats against other control decks. Also, you can board in Deathrite Shaman and Voice of Resurgence in game 2 if your opponent destroys you with his controll mechanisms.So you see, your answers to controll is gorgeous, now what about aggressive decks?
Well, with Trostani, Selesnya's Voice you have one big wall, right? But else than that, you're not really wanna block things anyways. Maybe later with the Elspeth, Sun's Champions tokens. But your defense is mainly the immense lifegain you can reach with this deck. If you're losing a lot of life by turn 2 or 3, feel free to cast a
Heroes' Reunion
to get to the mid- to lategame safely.
Vizkopa Guildmage is insanely strong too. His second ability is absolutely great with cards like
Heroes' Reunion
. So for 5 mana drain 7! Thats quite a bit of damage you can get in there.
And if you can't think of this deck beeing good, you have not seen the Vizkopa Guildmage combo with Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Obzedat, Ghost Council. Get it? Yeah?
Pay 3. Obzedat comes into play, drains for 2 + the 2 from the Vizkopa Guildmage. Trostani, Selesnya's Voice trigger, drain for another 5! Thats a 9 life drain per turn for just 3 mana.
Ready / Willing
and Unflinching Courage are just some strong earlygame combat tricks which can keep your life up.
Well, you see. Over all pretty strong deck. Played a couple of games with it yet and am curently like 75%/25% win ratio!! Not many decks who can bring answers to this BWG Lifegain deck!
