Sideboard

Alright, so now that this deck is finally in its final draft of being at a competitive level, to where I feel comfortable enough to play it at Grand Prix or TCGPlayer opens. I have decided to keep this deck as is until I find something else to replace it. As it stands, the update in reference to the FNM 12/27/2013 is so far the best playing I've been able to do with it. Don't feel discouraged and not submit ideas for the deck, by all means please. I have made multiple different drafts with this deck, so it has been changed alot and have explored many outcomes, although not all. Always looking for that constructive criticism and questions and comments to the gameplay and deck consistency. Thanks.

Mainboard:

Anger of the Gods - Board wipe against Aggro or a mirror matched deck to get rid of tokens.

Assemble the Legion - Win-Condition if not properly dealt with. Produces massive amounts of tokens really fast.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa - Win-Condition as well, pro-white/black making it harder to deal with than most creatures. Lives to most spot removal other than a select few.

Chained to the Rocks - Early creature removal enchantment against ramping Aggro decks dropping on their fatties.

Devour Flesh - For them annoying hexproof creatures.

Doom Blade - One of the best spot removals in the game for 2 mana.

Dreadbore - 2 Mana costing fatty or planeswalker killer at sorcery speed.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion - Win-Condition as well, controls the board and if she hits 7 loyalty, its game over.

Hero's Downfall - The best spot removal spell in the format as of right now. Can kill anything and everything with the exception of Blood Baron of Vizkopa.

Magma Jet - 2 damage to a creature or player with a scry 2 mechanic. Serves as setting up my next draws into something good.

Master of Cruelties - I know I'll get a lot of hate for this card, but I don't care. He kills any creature in the format with the exception of Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Master of Waves. First strike/Deathtouch is huge and his ability to change the game in one fatal swoop earns him a spot here. Rogue's Passage as a one-of for a win condition if I need it.

Merciless Eviction - Board wipe or extra planeswalker wipe. Also useful against mono colored decks who run heavy enchantment and weapon artifacts.

Mizzium Mortars - Self explanatory. Kills everything 4T or under with the exception of Master of Waves. Blood Baron of Vizkopa killer.

Obzedat, Ghost Council - Possible win-con/game changer. His blinking ability at EoT as well as being a 5/5 body is good enough for me.

Rakdos Keyrune - Allows me to ramp a little bit on turns I do not need to remove the board or kill a creature. Also acts as a man-land to help me get in for those extra damage points.

Read the Bones - Don't get me wrong, the reason it's not a 4 of, is that it pains you 2 life. With playing so many Shock-Lands, I need to keep all the life I can, so it is a 2-of in this deck.

Stormbreath Dragon - Bruiser by itself, Pro-White, flying, haste. Can go monstrous for a lot of damage against control.

Sideboard:

Slaughter Games - Self explanatory, sided in for control and mirror match-ups to get rid of Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Assemble the Legion, Blood Baron of Vizkop or some other annoyance I deem necessary.

Assemble the Legion - for that extra win-condition.

Dark Betrayal - Against B or B/W decks for Pack Rat, Desecration Demon, Obzedat, Ghost Council and Nightveil Specter.

Pithing Needle - Makes AEtherling, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and planeswalkers useless.

Ratchet Bomb - Sided in for control, Aggro, and mirror-match-ups.

Skullcrack - Sided in against control for Sphinx's Revelation or Mono-Black for Grey Merchant of Asphodel.

Updates Add

Alright so this evenings events took a most excellent turn in my favor.

Game 1:R/W Battalion Aggro. Pure rushing to get the kill. Maining Boros Charmfoil, Brave the Elements, Boros Reckoner, Boros Elite, Soldier of the Pantheon, Dryad Militant and more stompy low costing creatures. He took match 1 fairly easily as when I played spot/mass removal, Brave the Elements was played often. I took match 2 after it went both ways for a while, I never saw a creature until super late game but had plenty of removal spells to counteract the mutual feeling. Dropped to 3 life and played Obzedat, Ghost Council and launched my life up to 11. Dropping Blood Baron of Vizkopa for the winning blows. Match 3 he sided in Burning Earth, I took about 11 pain that game from tapping my lands but counteracted that by dropping Master of Cruelties. Swung next turn and then dropped Obzedat, Ghost Council for the kill.

(Reminder to Self): Sideboard Wear / Tear!

Game 2: R/G Bloodrush Aggro. Match 1 I stomped him fairly easily killing off his mana-dorks after I played Duress and saw a Ruric Thar, the Unbowed in his hand. Didn't have a chance to get it out. Match 2 he played well considering it went into super late game and we were both stuck top decking to not lose. Playing Obzedat, Ghost Council was my top deck game changer, then he grabbed Scavenging Ooze with about 10 lands on field. Gained an insane amount of life and grabbed Polukranos, World Eater on his next draw giving him the match win. Match 3 I stomped him into oblivion after playing an insane field control. Basically a 100% textbook control deck after dropping an Elspeth, Sun's Champion and 2 Assemble the Legion.

Game 3: R/G Bloodrush Aggro again. Only difference I won in 2 matches was he had Domri Rade and Xenagos, the Reveler on the field and top decked Merciless Eviction for the planeswalker exile.

Game 4: Mirror matched B/W/R Midrange Control. Before sideboarding, we basically mirrored every turn to the T. Except he dropped Elspeth and Assemble before me resulting in the match loss. Match 2, I sideboarded Assemble the Legion, 2x Pithing Needle, 2x Ratchet Bomb and 2x Slaughter Games. Turn 1 Pithing Needle naming Elspeth. Turn 2 Ratchet Bomb leaving it at 0 counters, immediately followed by Slaughter Games naming [[Assemble the Legion]. Took that round fairly easily. Match 3 was a real headache. Back and forth spot removal and hand control went by. We both Mizzium Mortars eachothers Blood Baron of Vizkopa's and left a blank field and no cards in hand on each side of the field. First one to top deck a Win-con basically took the game. 7 lands and 2 Rakdos Keyrune's on field before I top decked an Assemble the Legion and then a Mizzium Mortars. Swung with my tokens and keyrunes as much as possible until he was at 5 life and dropped Blood Baron of Vizkopa. Mizzium Mortars]] and he scooped for game 4.

Overall, went 4-0 with this deck tonight against almost all Aggro decks.. Which honestly surprises me because I tend to have issues against Aggro from time to time and I played smart and efficient, with minimal or no play mistakes made all night. I'm very happy with the outcome of this deck and I hope it serves me well in future matches.
