My take at a Chorus of the Conclave deck.

Please give me any suggestions you have, what cards I should cut, what I need to add. All and any help is appreciated.

This deck is made to join the timmy and jonny in me. I just want it to be as fun as possible to play. This deck plays in meta's from by LGS's league to kitchen table, so it anything from budget tribal decks to Rakdos Glass cannon to tuned maelstrom and narset decks. Where is it going? I'm not quite sure; I want to play hatebears and beaters. I want to be able to dirdle as long as I want to while not making it too oppressive and then I want to be able to end it when I want to.

Its fun to pilot but I have a lot of learning to do with it. I could cut some of the more complicated lines and make the deck easier to play when someone is looking for a deck.

Under Construction - will go here by type
  • Basics -- seriously I'm a little short here. What I need to cut to get there I'm sure.

  • Fetches and their targets -- Working on my staple binder so I gotta add it. I'm not sure I need the additional landfall triggers so maybe I'll just leave it as additional basics because the deck is not budgetless...

  • Utility Lands -- I'm not sure if I need any more. When I get a cradle I guess it won't hurt to through it in here when in a more competitive meta.

  • Gavony Township -- I just don't have a copy.

Mana Rocks -- I just added Paradox Engine so Worn Powerstone, Thran Dynamo, Gilded Lotus all need to get slotted in. This deck does love to ramp

I need to add some protect as the deck doesnt quite run that well if I don't have chorus on the field, I can do a bit but its an expensive creature to be cut out of...

- Death's Presence -- slow and limited applications
  • Wild Pair -- while its an adjustable tutor as I can change what the p/t by stacking the triggers as I want, the card is complicated to play with and the deck is not as tuned for it as it could be. I guess I could learn the cards a little better and make the card more useful.

  • Maulfist Revolutionary - It doesn't put the first counter on my cards and doesn't manipulate other cards enough.

  • Solemn Recruit, Mirran Crusader, Commander Eesha-- These cards just straight beaters but don't necessarily when the game. Would be happy to replace them with cards that are a little more synergistic.

  • Copperhorn Scout -- not sure why its still in here now that paradox engine is in but at the moment its still got a seat at the table.

  • card: fleetfoot panter -- I should probably replace this with a Whitemane Lion (cheaper CMC option) but I like the art and the fact its green means I can tutor for it with one of the green creature tutors.

  • Wild Beastmaster - always underwhelming.

  • Everflowing Chalice -- I'll probably swap this out of for something that is not a mana sink. Having all my creatures as mana sinks is great and I don't have enough (or any) to play with the counters.

  • Sword of the Animist -- Its great early but sucks later...

  • Fungal Behemoth -- I sometimes use it distribute counters but often its just a huge beater that just gets chumped all day...

  • Scrounging Bandar -- Sometimes it does cool things but its still in testing and can be underwelming. Its a less good Forgotten Ancient.

  • Craterhoof Behemoth -- I have one sitting in my staple binder but it hasnt made it into the deck. I'm sure if its totally necessary but I'm not sure why not.

  • Acidic Slime -- I have the removal on non-creatures but it does work with chorus as a potential big deathtoucher..

-Intrepid Hero - repeatable removal?

-Worldly Tutor and Chord of Calling - because why not? tutoring does make the deck run more consistently but I dont always like that.

Anyway! Thanks for coming and taking a look. Please let me know if you have questions or suggestions.
