This is a Mono-Green () deck reigned over by Ayula, Queen Among Bears and embodies a deep respect for wildlife and it's majesty, as embodied by Bears (as a whole species) and then specifically within magic by Ayula. It is originally apart of a collaborative effort alongside NoobNoob275 to create creature based decks.

The name of the deck is a reference to the ruling my playgroup made, which includes NoobNoob275. This deck is our answer to 'what would it be like if the color green had Persistent Petitioners?' and of course, the answer is bears.

Iconic Creature Archetypes

This deck is a part of a collaborative project involving NoobNoob275. My concept is a Mono-Green () deck based around Bears, using the matriarch of the archetype, Ayula, Queen Among Bears. This deck will be an extension of my love for the creature type, and representative of a casually powered idea, with competitive capabilities. As with the other decks within this project, it's not going to be the most explosive or perfect construction, because I intend to commit to the theme more than focusing on winning the game outright. I don't intend to allow anyone to go stomping on the paws of my tubby friends. Enjoy!

This deck makes use of the core constructive thought: this deck should have a ton of bears, so what if Grizzly Bears had a clause of 'a deck may have any number of (this creature) in it's list.' and the only other requisite being, if that was the card that received the blessing, it must in fact be a true bear; a 2/2 creature for 2 mana, and vanilla. That is to say, a creature with no abilities.

This is one of the only decks where I actually think it's beneficial to be running things like Emerald Medallion because having all of my bears start hitting the field for one mana after turn one slamming a Sol Ring means heads will spin and claws will fly. Things such as Lifecrafter's Bestiary and Sylvan Anthem, alongside the same namesake Library means we can start pumping super fast, and super efficiently.

There have been several one-off thoughts for things like Wild Pair or even Defense of the Heart and waiting for the opposition to slam out just one too many creatures. Things like Dragon-Scarred Bear are just super cool to me because of the lore-wise relation of a raw fucking beast, like how Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma is just a complete unit.

Alas, this deck is most efficient when I'm trying to toss and turn the whole thing on it's head. Because when we start picking up a whole new stack with Rites of Spring and then throwing the whole mass onto the field with Fastbond or Manabondfoil it's not hard to slam Surrak and Goreclaw whenever you want.

Let's face it, the limitation of bear creature types is doing others at the table a FAVOR, because this kind of structure would overrun a good portion of decks without certain checks in place.

We're aiming for Ruxa, Patient Professor or pretty much any named bear to hit the field, lead the charge, and it honestly takes next to no time at all to keep this wheel rolling. You get out something to the chagrin of your opponents, something steady like Bearscape or Ayula's Influence with the intention of just tossing your whole hand out the damn window. Following that, you just need some support to keep it moving.

A conversation could be had for why Concordant Crossroads should be included, and I agree, but it would be the difference between this turn and next turn. I often would argue one way or the other, but it simply wasn't as important. I'll try to find space later, potentially replacing Shapers' Sanctuary. Other cards like Life from the Loam will certainly provide a lot of great raw power to your engine if you're able to continuously feed it.
