The Holy Trinity refers to Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant and Essence Warden that make up the backbone of this deck
Breakdown:
Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant/Essence Warden- having 12 of these effects essentially guarantees that I'll have one for Ajani's Pridemate/Archangel of Thune but also allows me to stave off the aggro onslaught
Ajani's Pridemate/Archangel of Thune- pridemate can grow pretty big and win games on its own, but if I get the archangel on the board, the game ends pretty quickly
Serra Ascendant- I can get to 30 life pretty easily with creatures getting dropped constantly on both sides of the board. A 6/6 lifelink flyer can easily secure a lead.
Squadron Hawk- seems a bit out of place in this deck but the fact that just landing one can get me 3 more is important since each one will get me life through the 3 soul sisters and make Ajani's Pridemate/Serra Ascendant stronger.
Kitchen Finks- a great beater alongside Ajani's Pridemate. the -1/-1 counter is easily negated by Archangel of Thune/Ajani, Caller of the Pride, making it near invincible.
Brimaz, King of Oreskos- not necessary, but a great addition to the deck since it consistently pumps out tokens (more life etc.), and both brimaz and the tokens have vigilance, allowing me to alpha attack but still have defense for counter attacks.
Rancor- vital to allow Ajani's Pridemate gets damage through each time instead of getting chump blocked. can also enchant a flyer to get more damage through.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride- the first ability makes Kitchen Finks that much stronger and can make for a formidable aerial force. a well-timed second ability on Ajani's Pridemate can end games. the ult is just the cherry on top. if you ever get to use the ult (which should be never), you'll gain massive amounts of life and a horde of cats.
Side Note: definitely use Spike Feeder for the infinite combo with Archangel of Thune if you won't get hated on. I would replace Squadron Hawk for 4 of them and probably replace Brimaz, King of Oreskos for another Archangel of Thune. You could also consider taking out a Rancor for another Ajani, Caller of the Pride
One thing I want to find room in the deck for is removal and maybe some protection. I'm thinking Swords to Plowshares and Brave the Elements, but I'm not sure what I'm willing to cut from the list. I can probably survive without a land or two, but what else? Help me out if you've got a suggestion!
Tell me what you like and dislike about this deck, and +1's are always appreciated!
