Adeline, Resplendent Cathar - 3-mana for 4 toughness makes for a very strong body. The vigilance and dude creation is extra gravy.
Augur of Autumn - Not the most aggressive body but handy in the mid-late game match ups by helping to filter lands off the top of our deck.
Bereaved Survivor
- Weak body for 3 mana and we don't have a way to force it to transform. However Dauntless Avenger
gives yet another way to recur all of our other awesome 2-drops.
Beskir Shieldmate - 2-power for 2 mana is fine and the token helps give us some board presence in the face of removal.
Briarbridge Tracker - Effectively a 4/3 for 3 makes for a good aggressive body. This deck doesn't investigate a lot but having the option to sick extra mana in to drawing cards is always a nice upside
Cemetery Protector - Slightly slower card but a nice instant-speed body that also gives a tiny bit of graveyard hate. Again the extra dude generation is gravy.
Civic Gardener - A bear that helps us curve out of gives a creature pseudo-vigilance.
Dennick, Pious Apprentice
- 2-mana for a lifelinking 2/3 body is a good deal. HOWEVER, Dennick stops our Extraction Specialist from bringing creatures back. Dennick, Pious Apparition
can be another evasive body that gives some additional clue tokens but lacks additional synergy.
Disciplined Duelist - Included in the deck originally as an extremely aggressive card thanks to double strike that holds all of our anthems and +1 counters very well. Hard for a lot of red-decks to deal with but ultimately removed due to how many The Meathook Massacre are around.
Gavony Dawnguard - Solid body with ward to tax our opponent's removal AND can draw us more creatures. Solid overall.
Hamlet Vanguard - Easily a 3/3 for 3 with ward but more often a 5/5 or 7/7. Not currently being played due to the lack of any other relevant keyword like trample that would otherwise make this an auto-include.
Hypnotic Grifter - Decent 1-drop human that gives yet another option to filter cards.
Jukai Naturalist - Surprisingly good bear. Lifelink helps in red match-ups and making Rally the Ranks 1 cheaper is a nice bonus.
Luminarch Aspirant - Should be an auto-include but I don't own of these currently. Very strong 2-drop that has synergy with Hopeful Initiate.
Maja, Bretagard Protector - Slow card with a weak body, but another anthem effect that generates dudes is something to consider.
Panicked Bystander
- Decent bear that helps give us a bit of extra life. 1 hit from Intrepid Adversary or Extraction Specialist flips in to a 3/5 body which is incredible in the face of The Meathook Massacre even if we don't make use of the deathtouch.
Reclusive Taxidermist - Weak body up front. We do a decent job of filling up our graveyard with creatures turning this in to a 2-mana 4/4.
Scheming Fence - 2 for a 2/3 is a good rate that dodges a lot of cheap red removal. The Pithing Needle-esque effect can be incredibly effective vs Reflection of Kiki-Jiki
or opposing planeswalkers
Sigarda, Champion of Light - 4 for a 4/4 evasive body AND an anthem AND draws more humans? Dream come true however I don't own any :(
Sigrid, God-Favored - Another instant speed trick although a bit of a weak body for 3. The removal effect is incredible, definitely worth play-testing this one a bit.
Sungold Sentinel - Aggressive body with pseduo hexproof or unblockable with a bit of additional graveyard hate
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben - More of a sideboard card to slow down control or Arcane Bombardment decks.
Torens, Fist of the Angels - Another dude-generator that grows over time.
Varis, Silverymoon Ranger - Excluded at the moment due to the double-green requirement. 3 for 3/3 is a fine rate, the ward & venture are good bonuses.
Wedding Announcement
- An interesting option to consider for the mid-game. Does everything that we can from drawing cards, generating dudes and eventually flipping in to another anthem.
Realmwalker - Slightly weak body but gives us access to cast from the top of our library.
Cave of the Frost Dragon - Coming in tapped in the mid game can suck if we're looking to pump Intrepid Adversary but the option of an evasive body could be worth the inclusion.
Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire - Untapped white source that can also give us removal options. Cheaper due to Katilda, Dawnhart Prime & Lagrella, the Magpie, will probably include 1 or 2 when I can get them.
Boseiju, Who Endures - Untapped green is good. Artifact and enchantment hate is a bit redundant due to Cathar Commando & Hopeful Initiate however the option to destroy man-lands or greedy 3/4 color decks may be worth the inclusion.
Maskwood Nexus - Too slow for our mainboard plan but can win the late game but consistently making dudes.
Brokers Charm - Flexible card that can act as additional enchantment hate, fighting (which this deck lacks) or card draw.
Brokers Ascendancy - Had a copy of this card in the deck initially but ended up dropping it in favour or more aggressive creatures. Worth including if the deck includes more planeswalkers.
Elspeth Resplendent - Solid mid/late game planeswalker that can search up our 3-drops or buff our creatures on board.
