@ Dredge4life : This card is just too good. In my local meta they hate this card. I rather avoid the extra hate from people playing mono colored. I still need to get home afterwards ;-)

Changes prior to the whole set knowledge of SOI :
OUT:
- Reki, the History of Kamigawa : It's too slow. I won't allow myself to look for this playing aggro.
- Seedborn Muse : Overall feeling underwhelming. I have better options looking at what I really need.
- Eight-and-a-Half-Tails : I had fun with this, but a nicer option to protect my humans just arrived :-)
IN :
- Rings of Brighthearth : Instead of drawing a card with Reki, I rather like to get a second pick of my choice for mana.
- Stone-Seeder Hierophant : After many playtests I felt that extra ramp will not hurt. Especially if it brings something extra late game
- Sigarda, Heron's Grace : She is absolutely great for this deck. Protection for my commander and she can fuel Gaea's Cradle.

Fixing my ramp to have a higher chance to get my commander out at least a turn sooner:
- Kodama's Reach went out and has been replaced with Sylvan Caryatid
- Reap and Sow went out and has been replaced with Bloom Tender
- Stone-Seeder Hierophant went out and has been replaced with Voyaging Satyr
More changes probably to follow :-)

Have you played around with Dosan the Falling Leaf before PartyJ? He could act like a tutor-able Grand Abolisher.
March 27, 2016 1:40 p.m.
Hi Perfect_Phyrexia , in the past I did play with him until Dragonlord Dromoka came out. He is better than Dosan the Falling Leaf. When my commnader is on the battlefield I usually have soon enough the required mana to cast the dragon.
Dosan also prevents me from casting spells in opponents turns, while the dragon does not have this downside.
What do you think of the cards on my maybeboard?

Traverse the Ulvenwald looks quite good, its a basic search at its worst and a better Worldly Tutor at its best. I like Oblation as a good form of removal and good card draw in a pinch. It's never fun giving opponents cards though and personally I think Grasp of Fate is better in the removal department for 3 mana. I play with a big group of people so I play a lot of effects that hit each player as opposed to targeting. If you have a bunch of ridiculous lands and creatures than Living Wish is completely op. I've seen it used in really weird 60 card urzatron eldrazi decks but if you stack your sideboard around it it should be great. Glittering Wish exists too if you have some good multicolored spells. Do you know if you can have any color in your sideboard?

Perfect_Phyrexia: You can't have out-of-color cards in your sideboard, unfortunately, but all of the wishes are amazing :) Also, I love the username. All will be one!

Have you considered Kataki, War's Wage for more control? I would suggest Hall of the Bandit Lord and Saffi Eriksdotter but you already considered them :/

any thoughts on Instill Energy or Tornado or Untaidake, the Cloud Keeper
March 28, 2016 9:42 p.m.
RupertPhd Interestingly, Instill Energy got errataed to say "Enchanted creature can attack as though it had haste", it doesn't actually grant haste anymore. Still a nice card to stick on Sisay though.

Liking the Sigarda, Heron's Grace - Will be interested to hear your thoughts and how useful you find her once SOI is out :)

Id keep Traverse the Ulvenwald as it seems you should be able to activate delirium by the time you use it, already +1'd earlier

why the decidedly mediocre Quarantine Field over something better ... like Grasp of Fate

I agree, I really don't like Quarantine Field here if you want my honest opinion. For 4 mana you are removing one permanent and for 6 mana its only removing 2 permanents which Return to Dust does much better for 2 mana less. It only starts getting "mythic" when you remove more permanents than that but its still way too expensive and I don't see any infinite mana combos. Considering that there are also much better cards in whites removal repertoire I would switch it out for something like Revoke Existence, Return to Dust, Nevermore (Naming an annoying commander like kalia, mimeoplasm, or zur), Grasp of Fate, Karmic Justice, Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker, or Martyr's Bond. You are playing / so you should be running Aura Shards. Every single commander list probably has stuff like Sol Ring, Sensei's Divining Top, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Skullclamp, Lightning Greaves, Crucible of Worlds, Ashnod's Altar, Gleemax, etc. and having the ability to deny the cards everyone relies on by just simply playing the creatures in your deck is too good.

Aura Shards I believe would be a great addition to the deck, especially with any token generators. However, I don't know what would be best to take out for it or if it'd be better as a sideboard card

I run a Sisay deck aswell for 1v1 Duel Commander so the format of my deck is quite different. I love the idea of Sigarda, Host of Herons from the new set. I'm gonna find a spot for her im my deck. Can I also suggest Cryptolith Rite. Its a great enchanment that can be tutored out with your Enlightened Tutor and gives you that extra boost for your bigger creatures without worring about about mana colors.

Sorry, wrong Sigarda. I meant the Sigarda, Heron's Grace.

I previously voted this one, but I enjoy the newer additions. Especially Sigarda, Heron's Grace. I haven't found a place in standard for her, but EDH is a good fit.

I love Sisay as a commander, I've built one myself... not as competitive as this, but there's a legend I recently added that has proven pretty helpful in recent games.
I've also found Yeva, Nature's Herald to be better than I anticipated for those end-step Sisay searches to flash in a legend. Albeit, it only provides flash for greenie/part greenie legends so it might not fit.
Here's mine if interested. The Stuff That Legends Are Made Of
Nice deck! +1!

I run a similar build of this deck and karametra is really the best ramp legend I always get her first
April 25, 2016 8:11 a.m.
FYI, there was a ruling that "legend" is not a creature type, and can not be named for Cavern of Souls, so turns out to be a pretty lame fixer for a Sisay deck anyway sadly!
May 4, 2016 10:40 p.m.
strife65: Typically you'd want to name something like 'Human' to get Captain Sisay to stick. From there yo ucan get Dragonlord Dromoka and you're good to go. But yeah, the whole creature type - Legend hasn't been a thing for a long time. While yes it would be nice mana fixing for Cavern of Souls, that's not why you're playing the card. It severely shuts down control decks.
May 5, 2016 12:04 a.m.
enpc True, it does work for that, my thought process was more along the lines of "it will only ever work for a small subsection of the deck so why bother?" The control hate is definitely a legit reason though, and it does still provide at least Sisay specific fixing if you need that early game.

If you're looking for the perfect answer to a mono-colored deck, I'd try Iona, Shield of Emeria. Her effect seems pretty staxy to me, so I think she'd be a good fit.
