I guess? But I've found that it fixes your opponents' mana too well to really do that job in commander.

Daedalus19876: Typically with Urborg, you don't get it until mid game. At this point most decks at the same level will have the mana they need. Its tricky, it's a niche card but works well in certain games.

As for Skyshroud Claim, I've had this discussion before with other people but I personally think skyshroud is a really good way for your deck to get access to lots of white mana, in the form of the duals.

Honestly though, if you're looking to prioritise any card, it should be Savannah. Having your ABUR makes a world of difference.

Savannah would be very nice enpc, but sadly I haven't found an affordable copy here yet.

What is your opinion about Channel ? It can bring Sisay out in turn 3 and midgame it can boost my manabase to enormous size to throw in a big threat.

I think that card is very banned. And for good reason.

It's banned for a RIDICULOUSLY good reason. So is Karakas, before anyone gets any cute ideas.

I think it's just restricted in vintage.

Muahaha ...

It's very hard to comment on either of the "Advertise your [Commander] deck" threads with this as the most recent post, haha.

Have you thought about the rest of the 1 cost mana dorks? They can be played on T1/2 to give you a T3 Sisay.

+1ing for the sisay deck that features our lord and savior NEWLAMOG, who leads my commander deck NEWLAMOG IS HANGRY if you are interested. Shameless plug,I regret nothing.

What about Reki, the History of Kamigawa for card draw?

June 22, 2016 4:20 p.m.

PartyJ says... #12

I did consider them PlattBonnay, but I believe that the current amount of ramp is pretty well tuned. Do you believe that a missing mana dork is a better replacement for one of the ramp cards currently selected in the mainboard?

Keep him HANGRY AlmightyDeadpool. And thanks for the shameless upvote ;-)

I did have Reki, the History of Kamigawa in this deck once Sir_Jinx. But it's just too slow for this competitive build. I just won't give myself the time to find it with Sisay. Since I want to play brutal and ferociously... With Sisay on the battlefield I already have an extra card per turn available.

Not a fan of Thalia, Heretic Cathar? Considering the number of non-basics competitive decks play, she's basically a tutorable Kismet.

Also, I really like Eldritch Evolution. No space here, though, methinks, if you aren't already playing Natural Order.

Hi Daedalus19876, I have been doubting about that card for this build. It is a great card on it's own, but I have doubts if it would actually strenghten my overall game. The aim is to overrun my opponent with fast and aggresive play.

This Thalia is more of a stax piece, which is a great effect without a drawback, but the turn I search for it with Sisay is also a turn which I do not play something that is more in line with my gameplan.

Perhaps I can give a few testruns and see how it impacts my local meta; would I use my Sisay to grab it?

The tutor ability is not needed indeed. I have enough tutor options. And when I have Survival of the Fittest out, then it's partytime xD

By competitive are you playing this with Duel Commander in mind? Loyal Retainers is banned of i am not mistaken. This was is now the problem i have with my Captain Sisay deck.

Also so is Gaea's Cradle, banned in Duel Commander

July 14, 2016 10:38 a.m.

PartyJ says... #17

Hi monark07,

we play alot of Dual Commander, but only in our own group at home. We follow the official banlist for normal Commander. Since this format is the one we play officially and on a competitive scale. In our home group we play to pratice for competitive play and therefor we use the same set of rules and the same banlist.

This is why Loyal Retainers and Gaea's Cradle are still in this deck.

Would you have any other suggestions for me? Thanks for the support and interest :)

@ enpc : I finally found the copy I have been looking.

Out : Plains

In: Savannah

All that is left now is a few extra fetches to have more lands in my graveyard when Crucible of Worlds is out.

Why not put the new card in from the new set that says return all your land cards to the battlefield that were put into the graveyard this turn

July 16, 2016 7:39 p.m.

PartyJ says... #20

@ djskype : Thank you for the suggestion :)

Mass land destruction is not a big threat in my meta and overal for this deck. It could synergize with Scapeshift, but I believe that it won't bring much extra aggro to this deck. They arent easy tutorable either.

Why do you think it's decent/good in here? And what would you remove for it? Just curious to hear other peoples views.

I think that in a Titania deck or an Omnath deck it would be good. But here it just slows the rest of your strategy.

Thanks you for the suggestion maddoxmtg.

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is a great finisher to be honoust. But the drawback of getting the complete hate of the rest of the table is immense. In a 1 vs 1 it's obviously good, but in a multiplayer you immediately draw all the attention on you. This is why I did not select this card in the 99. If I play a 'casual' 1 vs 1 I carry one in the sidebaord if I feel like running it :)

oh, and i didn't see the living wish to get it out as well

You are right, that I could always access it maddoxmtg. The last time I used Living Wish to grab Aven Mindcensor. The look on my opponents face was priceless when he knew his tutors and deck shenanigans became useless :-))
