Cards Don't Meta

Standard BRGW

Draygo

Sideboard

I was inspired by the Modern deck that won a MODO daily recently featured by Gerry T on Star City called Cards Don't Matter. I couldn't fathom going in with a mana-base full of singles though so I based it on a popular Four color deck. I was able to make top 8 and lost my match 2-1 with this build in a real nail biter against an opponent I beat earlier in the night who was playing mono-red.

With the removal suite it was quite a smooth deck to run and their were few instances where I had the feel bads because of a whiff when drawing into a creature because just about all of them did their part in getting me there.

Changes to make would be removing Chord of Calling entirely and perhaps the gods as well. I never saw an instance where Pharika was useful. Nylea would likely do more. Erebos would be better in the side. Eidolon of Blossoms didn't do much for me during the night but I certainly had enough enchantments to get it to trigger.

Ultimately what this deck needed was more focus - which is difficult considering the current card pool to choose from. This deck's biggest advantage is keeping your opponent guessing.
