Loads of defenders feeds 3 avenues of attack. You can direct attack opponents or plains walkers with Vent Sentinel . You can generate huge amounts of mana (18+ easily) by turn 4 or 5. Kessig Wolf Run converts this to huge trample attacks with Manor Gargoyle . There is also the Colossus of Akros, and the flame blast dragon. The indestructible creatures help discourage death touch and a lot of wipe or removal spells.

Ways to win:

1. Lots of defenders = damage from Vent Sentinel

2. Lots of defenders = lots of mana. Mana + Kessig Wolf Run = giant trample (15+) attacks from Manor Gargoyle

3. Lots of mana = unleash the Colossus of Akros 20/20 indestructible trample

4. lots of mana = devils play or flame blast dragon burn!

5. Assault Formation = beatdown from the defenders. Tree of Redemption . Kessig Wolf Run can provide the trample (not the pump).

key points:1. why the Swiftfoot Boots? You can move the boots to a new axebain guardian or Overgrown Battlement and make more mana, put another creature down, move the boots over, repeat... It also helps against removal.

1. Mizzium Mortars is good for spot removal or one sided wipes. Devil's Play instead of Clan Defiance? If it gets countered, I can play it again.

2. Doubling Chant is huge. More mana, more Vent Sentinel , more burn, more trample.
