The maze has actually helped alot for ramp when it sees play, also it throws them off if I am able to win using it game one. Magic number with the combo in hand has been 8 land. So far I have not even been able to take it to a FNM, but it definitely is one of my favorites to play. Thanks for the +1

HAHAHAHA. Love it!

I just posted my mana dorks of doom and was looking for something to playtest against.

Haha, awesome infinite combo. Never would have found it, myself. Not sure if it's necessary, but if you wanted/needed 4 more Fog , there's Defend the Hearth now, as well.

Oh, and if you need more hexproof, there's Mizzium Skin .

so far i have 11 sources of Fog . the hexproof from Simic Charm is nice, but i have been using it mostly as a bounce spell to buy more time. i know about Defend the Hearth not sure if it is needed yet though

Ever think of Burst of Strength ? Maybe as a 2-of or 1-of so that the combo is a little easier to find. Also I agree with Schuesseled about Omenspeaker . I mean, theres no downside. A decent blocker when the fogs aren't coming, and you can use it to dig for pieces or land or fog, whichever you need.

What to take out for Omenspeaker though?

Unforgivn_II says... #9

I'd have to playtest it, and I don't really want to right now... But the Prophet doesn't seem too necessary. But you could do some playtesting with the Omenspeaker to see if it helps. If you can make this consistent, that would be dope.

I think I would replace the Savage Summoning with Omenspeaker , since Prophet of Kruphix already gives flash.

Maybe Thassa, God of the Sea or Jace, Architect of Thought ?

Gonna try this for FNM, you playing tonight?

Unforgivn_II says... #11

Maybe. It depends on some of my other plans. I will be playing tonight, its just a matter of what store I play at. Jace fits the idea, but Thassa doesn't make too much sense.

I thought of something similar. Could you offer suggestions to Infinite RUG burn please?

This is probably my favorite Triton Tactics with Elite Arcanist deck that I have seen. Very creative, I think I'm going to build off of this idea. +1 from me

thanks for the +1. it is very consistent, and people do not see it coming often :)

How did FNM go? Also do you think you could help me on my version of this, deck-large:elite-tactics-27-10-13-1

i didn't get to go to FNM officially, but before the actually tournament, I didn't lose...beat a G/W aggro deck turn 4 by combo. He had no removal for mana dork / arcanist

GamerSonX says... #18

how on turn 4? lol arcanist cmc is 4 even with mana dorks, he still ha summoning sickness wouldnt tap to use ability. idk maybe it is late and I'm not thinking clearly but i don't see it happening that soon.

October 29, 2013 2:04 a.m.

GamerSonX says... #19

yeah i guess it could happen turn 4, but that would be with extreme luck.

October 29, 2013 2:06 a.m.

GamerSonX says... #20

nvm with all the gates coming into play tapped, there is no possible way to get turn 4 win with this deck, invest in shocklands and maybe, just maybe it will work, but I do love the idea, very creative and funny if and when the combo works. I can see this being a fun "kitchen table" deck, but definitely not competitive lol.

Went 4-1 at my local shop last night, tied for 1st. Shocks are not needed as each life point is crucial to success. Deck is definitely consistent, just takes a while to learn to pilot correctly as with any other deck

Why is the maze's End package in this deck? It completely destroys the manabase

November 1, 2013 6:41 p.m.

Khanye says... #23

its for ramp...and a secondary win condition...I have been able to win game one without dropping the mana dork, and entirely by Maze's End at which point they bring in the Pithing Needle and I leave it as is...the maze actually helps a ton for mana ramp, I have been debating about putting another copy in

I'm failing to see how you tap Druid for green to cast a blue spell?

November 4, 2013 12:10 p.m.

Khanye says... #25

its colorless when used by Elite Arcanist . you just have to pay the cmc of the spell, not the actual spell cost when activating Elite Arcanist
