Elas il-Kor and his trove of undying cats want to play.

Description: A white/black sub-100€ deck based around the cat-oven combo, for equal parts of fun and frustration! Advice appreciated.

Some notes:

  1. Regarding SIDEBOARD:
Dark Profecy and/or Treacherous greed are there as alternatives to a propper tutor for mixing card drawing with the main combo.

  2. Regarding MAYBEBOARD and potential additions:
The Meathook Massacre would be a FANTASTIC addition to this deck, but its cost makes it prohibitive, hence its placed on the maybeboard. Funeral Room / Awakening Hall (DSK) and specially Grave Pact would be nice substitutes for Meathook Massacre, but I like them lees than the enchantment's I've included. Same thing happens with Felidar retreat and Retreat to Hagra, nice landfall effects, but I think it's better to optimize the main combo of the deck here.
Foreboding Fruit and Victimize might work and capitalize on the oven combo, however they are not as good as Rite of Oblivion as it adds some control to the deck and can be cast from the graveyard for late stages. Yagmoth's Vile Offering can work as an alternative, but its "high" CMC makes it subpar to Rite of Oblivion. Hazel's Nocturne fits nicely, but is not as good as other options. Sorin, Vengeful BLoodlord would be the to-go planeswalker for this deck, but I prefer to keep on theme and use Regal Caracal instead. Finally Black cat and Can't stay away fit on the cat-theme, but it's subpar to its big brothers on deck.

Also, here are some other cats that did not make the cut (due to not beign Modern-legal): - Lurrus of the Dream-den - Entrails feaster - Contagion
