Aluren is a really strange card. It let us cast creature spells with CMC 3 or lower in instant speed without playing the mana cost. That's cute. It becomes a two-card combo with either Imperial Recruiter or Recruiter of the Guard . The mana we need to spend is because aluren removes the casting cost for everything else we will do.

After this, a lot of things will happen ...

Lets begin with this decks plan A Flash + Protean Hulk . We have a line that will assemble everything. One more thing. The entire Hulk line and Aluren combo line can do everything I will showcase in instant speed. Good to know.

First hulk trigger Karmic Guide + Carrion Feeder = returns hulk and sac it.

Second hulk trigger Phantasmal Image + Academy Rector = comes into play as a copy of karmic guide that returns hulk. Sac it.

Third and last hulk trigger Imperial Recruiter + Grand Abolisher = now your opponents can't do anything during your turn turn. If its not your turn. Find Spellseeker that gives you Pact of Negation . But Imperial Recruiter find from your deck Deputy of Acquittals .

Last thing we need to do: Sac Academy Rector and find Aluren .

Aluren line continues ...

Alright! This is a wery strange and LONG combo line.

1) Aluren in play and Imperial Recruiter finds Deputy of Acquittals .

2) cast Deputy of Acquittals to return Imperial Recruiter to your hand.

3) Imperial Recruiter finds Cavern Harpy .

4) Cavern Harpy will return Deputy of Acquittals . Now what we have here is that we can pay 1 life, To find any creature card from our deck with an power 2 or less. We will find Eternal Witness + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Spellseeker (if you were missing it).

5) Spellseeker will find Lightning Helix

6) THE MANA LOOP: So with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Cavern Harpy + Deputy of Acquittals = we have pay 1 life to untap a land ... yes ... We need to pay 2 life to untap two lands.

7) with Eternal Witness + Cavern Harpy + Deputy of Acquittals = we have pay 1 life return any card from your grave to hand.

8) To cast and return Lightning Helix we need to pay 3 life. This is infinite damage.

9) If you for some reason don't have a permanent in play that produces red and/or with we can fix that too. Pay some more life to find Wood Elves

My name is Mons and I have a youtube channel called cEDH TV. That stands for competitive elder dragon highlander television. I mostly make deck tech videos, tutorials on combos and how to play. Najeela is my favorite commander by fare. Therefore I guess she might have a bit more content than other commanders.

This deck is played like a flicker jack boxer. You use Najeela, the Blade-Blossom as an annoying object that snowballs. The aim is to force your opponents to deal with her and then coming in with "A RIGHT HOOK" and killem em with Flash + Protean Hulk into the Aluren combo package. The best part is that we can win during an opponents turn in respons to there attempt to win. Everything in the Aluren combo run is in instant speed. Meaning that an opponents Doomsday would nerver resolve.

but you want your commander Najeela, the Blade-Blossom to be as much of a problem as possible with minimal resources spent on her. The amount of resources we will spend on her is one mana dork and three mana. Mulligan every hand that won't give you a turn 3 warrior attacking with Najeela, the Blade-Blossom in play.

And if they never do anything to you commander eventually you will overproduce tokens. Najeela, the Blade-Blossom might be the only viable competitive commander that have a kill clock on your opponents. She is defiantly the strongest commander in tearms of beats. Her kill potential and damage output is growing exponatily and gets out of hand really fast, because of that her tokens will generat other tokens. This calculation is coming from only Najeela as a none token warrior and no enemy blockers.

Attack 1: Generat 1 Token, you now have 1 token and you deal 4 Damage: 4 damage dealt total

Attack 2: Generat 2 tokens, you now have 3 Tokens and you deal 6 Damage: 10 damage dealt total

Attack 3: Generat 4 Tokens, You now have 7 Tokens and you deal 10 Damage: 20 damage dealt total

Attack 4: Generat 8 Tokens, you now have 15 tokens and you deal 18 Damage: 38 damage dealt total (one player should be dead)

Attack 5: Generat 16 Tokens, you now have 31 Tokens and you deal 34 Damage: 72 damage dealt total

Attack 6: Generat 35 Tokens, you now have 69 Tokens and you deal 72 Damage: 144 damage dealt total

In other words Najeela is close to a six turn clock, make it seven because your opponents should have blockers. But then say six once more because you don't need to do 144 damage. Also your opponents will also hurt themselves and each other. So in the end a 5-7 turn clock ish.

So if she comes into play Turn 2, you win the game with only her turn 8. But each time you activate her ability you kick the clock one turn ahead. This is also why it is so important with a really low CMC curve. If you have 7 mana you can activate your commanders ability and still cast interaction that cost 2 mana; for example Negate or Abrupt Decay .

I play a lot of cEDH and have one of those "gotta catch em all commanders", a bucket list to play all commanders. But Najeela, the Blade-Blossom is by fare my favorit one. So, I have a bunch of different Blade-blossom decks and down here you can find links to all of them.
