After the success of my cEDH 5C enchantress deck, I've decided to continue the flavor with the new enchantress commander, I'm so excited. Here is my original deck.

The idea is somewhat the same as my 5C, draw cards, ramp and control the game with different kinds of magical effects. Feel free to comment and suggest cards I might have overlooked!

The manabase still need some attention, that is currently what I'm testing.

The major difference is the lag of manipulation and tutoring black gives access to, which means that having combo as a reliable win cons isn't competitive and consistent enough. I'm missing some permanant removal cards, which the deck makes up for in counter magic.

You won't find any pure stax related cards in this deck, it revolves more around control and voltron, which our commander Tuvasa the Sunlit is more or less perfectly suited for! Tuvasa is exactly what we have been looking for in an enchantress style decktype as a commander, so obviously I'm going to take advantage of that!

Her first ability reads: Tuvasa the Sunlit gets +1/+1 for each enchantment you control.

It essentially makes her a scaleable voltron commander and since her initial casting cost only is , she is easy to cast again if she dies before we are able to protect her.

Her second ability reads: Whenever you cast your first enchantment spell each turn, draw a card.

This ability is typical the enchantress creatures/enchantments, but what makes Tuvasa different is that she is an enchantress on a stick aka our commander! It makes it even better to go voltron, since you refuel everytime you enchant her. Amazing! It makes the decks ability to draw off of our 30 enchantments almost every time we cast one. The only draw back is you can snowball with only Tuvasa on the field, since you only draw from the first cast each turn. Cast like Vedalken Orrery could change that, I'm working to incooperate it into the deck, since it's just such a good card in general!

Here I'll explain why I use these carefully selected cards as my voltron beatdown.

  1. Ancestral Mask, Ethereal Armor & Battle Mastery
  2. Armadillo Cloak & Unflinching Courage
  3. Bear Umbra
  4. Totem armor and untapping lands, such a strong ability when paired with the extra card draws and cheap curve!
  5. Sword of Feast and Famine
  6. Essentially the same as Bear Umbra, untaps the lands and gives it pro green and black, some of the most versatile colors when it comes to spot removal.
  7. Rancor
  8. Easily one of the most underrated enchantments and close to a top 3 of best enchantments. If you want to get rid of it, it needs to be exile otherwise it's just more card draw and fuel.
  9. Shield of the Oversoul
  10. another underrated enchantment obviously best suited for Tuvasa herself. Serves as protection in form of indestructability.
  11. Eldrazi Conscription
  12. Late game finisher, it needs a spot in here, such a foul card to play against! Annihalator is just that strong.
  13. Hydra Omnivore
  14. Serra Ascendant

Here you'll find details concering the control and protection cards I find relevant for my type of game plan.

  1. Counterspell
  2. Austere Command

  1. Argothian Enchantress, Enchantress's Presence, Satyr Enchanter & Verduran Enchantress
  2. They are pretty much self-explanatory. The reason behind not having Mesa Enchantress in here is because of the double white in a more green centered deck. I feel she was the one I could do just fine without.

  3. Snapcaster Mage
  4. Gives me the ability to reuse some of my keep instant/sorcs for a low cost. Good recursion.

  5. Mirri's Guile & Sylvan Library
  6. Gives me much needed draw and card manipulation, to fuel the voltron and control aspect of the deck. Having card advantage key in most decks.
  7. Mystic Remora & Rhystic Study
  8. Spell taxing and card draw - I might try and add Solemnity for that nice draw combo with Mystic Remora
  9. Praetor's Counsel
  10. Refuels my hand in a prolonged match, sometimes even a solid late game win condition.
  11. Sun Titan
  12. Solid recursion on a strong body, what's not to like. The 3CMC limit suits this deck perfectly.

This list contains the chosen ramp cards and a short explaination of why these.

  1. Birds of Paradise
  2. Chrome Mox
