My take on Cephalid Breakfast. The principle is the same; I just also run
Lightning Greaves
as an alternative way to trigger
Cephalid Illusionist
if need be. Plus, it's a haste enabler for
Necrotic Ooze
, so it's pretty sweet.
My graveyard combo is Palladium Myr + Pili-Pala
, generating infinite mana in any color thanks to
Necrotic Ooze
, which is reanimated by
Dread Return
. From there, the goal is to either use a second
Dread Return
to pull out
Tasigur, the Golden Fang
from the graveyard, or just cast him from my hand. Then, I activate his ability an infinite number of times, bouncing my graveyard to my hand, then casting
Profane Command
for lethal.
I run all basic lands in here, because a) the deck runs fine without nonbasics, and b) I can't bring myself to spend that much money on the lands that would make it faster/more consistent. I mean, I wish I could play all original duals, but I can't.
In the end, it's not as consistent as it could be, but it's fun, and can win as early as turn 3 (maybe even turn 2, but I've never tested it, nor am I that lucky).
