Why not replace some of the soft lock Winter Orb, Torpor Orb, Static Orb, and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale for Frozen AEther. And what would you suggest removing for Jace, the Mind Sculpter?

You could try to lock out the game until you can deck people with stroke of genius. If you are running Jace, you could also win with his -12. Your best option is to try to never be in a position where you could lose Chain Veil, but sometimes that happens, and you have to make the best of it. Once Chain veil is gone, people will know your big win condition is gone and will see you as less of a threat. Depending on your meta, this could be a good thing, or a very, very bad thing.

When you lose chain veil you just try to assemble one of the infinite mana combos. It's honestly not the end of the world, I've had plenty of games where I get there through basalt+rings+top without ever casting chain veil.
I have also seen games where the teferi player lost literally every combo piece in their deck and then won by manually ulting teferi into ugin, so there is always some way to get there

Why did y'all opt out of running any eldrazi Titans? Lab maniac? Karn?

Hi i love the deck and am in the process of making it (-Timetwister and Tabernacle).
Why is Mindsculptor not good enough for the main deck and also wouldn't the new Karn be good with this many artifacts?
Also do you still feel this deck is Tier 1 or would you say there are strictly better decks in cEDH now. What is your opinion of the newish commander Jhoira?
Thanks a lot!

Hey Sigi, when will the next update be made? I'm curious what to cut for Spellseeker and what direction the deck will head in.

Most people in the Discord said they would cut snappy for spellseeker.

make room for release to the wind pls. that card's amazing.

Snapcaster -> Spellseeker is going to be the official cut
Release to the wind is interesting, however, I don't really see a spot for it. It's largely unnecessary as a "ritual" because you need to generate mana with teferi in order to be able to combo off in the first place and it is a bit too narrow as an interaction spell. If it didn't cost 3 mana it'd be up for consideration it but as of right now I don't really see it finding a niche

Good call on that one. Any other tests/tweaks happening currently? My meta has Blood Pod, so Gilded Drake, Shackles, and Rapid Hybrid are now almost permanent.

Any chance the next update will be coming before GP vegas? if not any off the top of your head suggestions? Ive heard some chatter about spellseeker.

Is there a strategical reason you're not playing Candles? Doing a lot of research on building Teferi stax so your input would be much appreciated:)

How has stasis performed in the deck all this time?
July 21, 2018 12:14 p.m.
As someone who plays against this deck a lot, I can say that Stasis is great, with tef out, it is a sort of soft lock as you are able to untap 4 and pay the upkeep while you are still building a hand/board. Very few things answer it outright in that situation and hunting for answers is rough when you are not untapping.

Apologies on the double post, but switching our snapcaster for a tutorable version seems very strong.

Any thoughts on the new pseudoSnapcaster Mage in Mission Briefing? I like how you don't have to choose a card until after you surveil, which leaves no room for a Scavenging Ooze activation or something similar.
Although I do see that Neo was cutting Snappy altogether, so maybe you wouldn't run it at all?

Through reading some of the comments, if the chain veil is lost there is always the option of academy ruins. Of course this doesnt work if TCV is exiled. However as a player of this deck, there are enough counter spells to stop that from happening. And timing is also a factor. Playing tcv should be done when you know you can either protect it with counters or when you know that the other opponents cant stop it.

I dont think the deck needs a doubling cube. If you're doing your mulls they way you should be I've been getting some great opening hands. Rarely a game goes farther then 7th round.
