why would you remove Manifold insights , which gives you 3 cards for 3 mana ? and why add careful consideration which costs 4 mana and is basically a worse thirst for knowledge..

A good way to view Manifold Insights is drawing the 3 worst cards in your deck. It is better in cEDH as one of a few draw spells. In a deck like this with so many cantrips, it could just end up slowing you down while tucking important pieces.
That being said, drawing your 3 worst cards is still usually pretty great, especially when opponents don't know what you need. It skips lands which can be good or bad, but frequently reveals a Mana rock.

Ediited from the Primer:
"Sometimes this leads to explosive plays that win you the game extremely early. Other times you just wish it was a basic island. Note that the card only lets you cast artifact spells, and not use artifact abilities. The card is overall counterproductive to the deck's control plan, and as such it does not belong in a Teferi build that is not all in on stax/fast artifact combo."

I wanted to ask for an opinion on sai, master thopterist if he would be good as playing kci he is great at stalling creature decks while drawing cards

I've been running this deck on a shoestring budget, so basically all the high cost stuff I don't already own are out, so I've been experimenting with a number of alternatives.
One card I've had a lot of success with as a budget alternative to SDT, to the point where I feel it may be warranted in the mainboard, is Soothsaying. While it doesn't draw you cards, with one of the innumerable ways to get arbitrary large amounts (if not infinite) mana in the deck, you can effectively stack your entire deck, floating all the most useful cards to the top. Being able to shuffle your deck at instant speed is also potentially very useful, particularly when you end up having to put cards you need on the bottom of the deck.
While I wouldn't advocate replacing the SDT, due to the lack of ability to actually draw cards, Soothsaying has proven useful enough I thought I'd pass it on as a suggestion.

OUT: Careful Consideration
IN: Verity Circle
?
Or is Verity Circle being considered as more of a flex/sideboard slot, since it is tap out dependent draw, and needs opponents running mana dorks (or on facing Sisay, Yisan, Arcum, Baby Jace, Selvala, and/or Vannifar, if the latter ends up being A Thing)?

That is the swap I'm gonna be making once the set is released, yes.

I don't currently own transmute artifact or power artifact. I also don't feel like there are cards that serve as good replacements for what they do. What would you recommend in for filler? My meta isn't very creature heavy.

I have been having a lot of trouble dealing with the new Lavinia in a pod I play with a lot. I run a fairly similar list to this although I made some room for a Torpor Orb and a Pongify to help with Animar and Selvala respectively.

DHGLOOPZ You can run Reshape and Trophy Mage instead of those two. Reshape to replace Transmute Artifact and Trophy Mage to get Rings of Brighthearth faster.

@LabManiac_Sigi Hello, I was wondering if you could share you thoughts on Portent . I'm thinking about finding a slot for it, and as another ponder with the only downside being you draw at the next upkeep, I was wondering if you've considered it before or if the delayed draw is too big a downside. Compared to sleight of hand it let's you see an extra card and gives another possible shuffle, so if like to hear your opinion before I really try to make a swap.

Please don't run Portent. Delayed draws are really bad.

Hi!
I love the primer! SO much so that I'm making a CVT deck of my own actually. I read through your primer and benjameenbear's primer on mtgsalvation.
My meta is paper and not budgetless, so not exactly all in-cEDH. But save for maybe Timetwister/Tabernacle/Duals level of price, I don't think people are missing cEDH staples (Diamonds, Crypts, FoWs, Mana drains, Mana vaults etc). Some meta examples; Selvala brostorm, Tymna/Kraum MAN, Zur AdNaus, Najeela, Meren stax, FC Prossh, Tymna&Thrasios, Yisan etc. Generally I see a lot of green and people like creatures. If it's a tournament I can get paired with casual/focused decks in early rounds, but I usually avoid pubstomping with my "competitive" decks (GAAIV and Edric so far).
Here is what I currently have in mind; https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/25-03-19-chain-veil-teferi-copy/ I used your deck as a template to start, removing cards I don't have/can't get and working on filling it with cards I can get/have that would work well in my meta. After that I'll tune it further to fit my needs.
I'd greatly appreciate any comment or general advice you could provide me with.
Thank you in advance!

JohnnyCRO: Looks very solid overall, I think you might want to compensate for the lack of rocks a bit more, either by running some of the worse ones (Worn Powerstone, Ur-Golem's Eye, that kinda stuff), or by adding something like Dizzy Spell to tutor for High Tide. Your meta looks really creature-heavy, so slotting in Silent Arbiter and Vedalken Shackles should also be good. Spellseeker is also great for upping your tutor density. The only other thing is Labman Jace, which (if you own one) should really be Ugin.

Thanks for the answer!
I’ll compensate further for the rocks. I know I have a Dizzy spell somewhere and adding a rock or two more certainty won’t hurt.
Yeah, creatures are very relevant here. Both bc I get “downpaired” r1/2 in tournaments and bc people here generally like green and midrange no matter the power level.
How good is Spellseeker if I can’t tutor Transmute artifact? Spellseeker is one of the cards I should get eventually for my GAAIV either way, but I’m interested in your opinion.
Finally, on Jace/Ugin; I’m in a tricky financial position right now. I have more than a few pricier EDH staples and long-term I can and will invest in EDH even further. However for the next 6 months or so I probably cannot cough up more than maybe 10-15€ for a single, and I’m planning my next big MCM shopping spree around Christmas. Meaning that if I end up liking the deck, I’ll get myself a copy of Ugin eventually. But if I want to throw first Teferi games this summer, I have to replace him, if only temporarily. Is LabMan Jace at least passable in your opinion and, if not, what would you recommend instead?

Is Finale of Revelation going in the deck over Pull from Tomorrow , is is the sorcery speed not worth not discarding?
April 16, 2019 8:31 p.m.
Also do you know of any more graveyard recursion for CV, as my meta runs a lot of artifact destruction?
April 16, 2019 8:35 p.m.
JohnnyCRO: Normal Lab Maniac might be better than the Jace if your meta doesn't have too much creature hate.
