What the deck focuses on

With Chainer, Dementia Master , your main focus is to abuse ETB triggers like with Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Massacre Wurm . To do this we will need certain cards that will provide a sac outlet to loop these ETB triggers such as Phyrexian Altar , or Attrition .

Some Notable Staples

There are a lot of cards here that are almost must includes just because of the limit of color or how well they perform.

1. Karn Liberated - Although it is expensive, do not overlook it. The biggest problem with mono black is having answers to artifacts/enchantments. It is espicially annoying once someone plays a card like Ground Seal which almost shuts down the deck. So having karn is a big advantage so if you had a tutor, go get it and exile whatever it is. Oblivion Stone also works well to

(I just now figured out that Gate to Phyrexia is a card so i would guess that karn can be optional but still good removal)

1. No Mercy - If your a huge fan of things like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison , then this is basically the mono black version of it. being able to play this and basically tell your opponents "Hey, if you like your creatures, pick someone else" is great when your on 4 player EDH. Especially since sometimes this deck builds up slow, great wall to protect early on.

2. Maze of Ith - The main reason I included this was because of how many people play voltron decks at my lgs so a lot of people there run this card. However, if you do not have voltron players, I dont really recommend this card, maybe another swamp or something. But this is a needed if your going up against a voltron deck.

3. Sheoldred, Whispering One Although one could have guessed, this is one of the most top performing cards in this deck, or any reanimation deck for that matter. Being able to not only bring back stuff for free but slowly sacrifice (getting around hexproof and indestructible) your opponents boards is a very usable mechanic.

Combos in deck

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion - your playing mono black, so duh lol

Contamination and Ophiomancer - complete lockdown that prevents anyone without black or answers to be shut out.

Some main Win Cons

Contamination - Honestly, this is the most annoying card to play against if you don't play black. Basically, if you don't have an artifact/creature mana dork, then you pretty much lost.

Cards that have the abilities of Gray Merchant of Asphodel , Kokusho, the Evening Star , and things like that are usually ways to win. very rarely do I ever have to win by swinging so it can be a good way to play politics. You wont "attack" anyone but you don't need to attack hehe.

Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon - usually, you will have this card in your graveyard and reanimate, it give it haste, swing for 5, and then sac it to protect it after combat. I have won many games with this card just because of how absurd it is.

Exsanguinate - Usually, if you been playing game for a while, and then get a bunch of mana, you can usually one shot everyone or set your opponent to like 2 when you have like 80 left. Gary also works well doing this

If you would like to have a budgeter version of this deck since not everyone would have this kind of money I will provide a list to anyone who wants one. It will probably be about $200-500 with the ideas in mind.
