So your sitting down and FNM and you see it. "Oh god B/G elves again. Here comes another loss". If you have this deck you would be saying "Here comes another win!". Yah I know B/G elves are OP. Not any more with a simple and pretty budget (if you consider budget around 100$) deck that wipes your enemies with a mix of small creatures and burn spells. Lets get right to it.
You have 5 one drop creatures. 4 Monastery swiftspear are great and effect 1 drops. The 1/2 with haste is effective if your trying to get early damage in the first turn. It also has prowess which is an ability that is effective using burn. Whenever I cast a non creature spell the swiftspear will get 1+1 until end of turn. This would mean that it can get a bough while clearing your opponents board to give your creature some space in attacking. Pretty effective. Are other 1 drop is the lightning berserker. This is a card that is an effective attacker. Assuming that your attacking you can tap 1 red to give him fire breath. This will come useful if you want to get that bit of extra attackers. He is also good for larger creature when block because if you activate his fire breath dealing 2 damage to the blocked creature and if it large such as a 6/6, 5/5, or 4/4 you can get rid of it with one of your burn spells.
Next we have our 2 drop creatures. Most people in this situation run Zurgo, Bell Striker because of his 2 attack. You could go a bit better inmy opinion for a cheaper card. In fact a common. If you want to deal heavy damage fast Mardu Scout is pretty effective. He can deal 3 damage to player on turn 2 which will help you get ahead of life total. This is aggro so your go is to deal damage to target play no matter what. Mardu Scout with dash is pretty good with this. If you have him out on the field he's also an effect blocker. He may die but you deal 3 damage to a creature and once again if its big than you can use a burn spell. Our next 2 drop is Abbot of Keral Keep. This card is amazing to be played in this format. He has prowess which again will be useful for attacking but that not it. His ability is great. We get to exile the top card of our library and play that card until end of turn. This could be useful in both ways. A mana could help a lot by giving us an extra land which can help us cast more spells. If I had a spell or creature that got exiled play it. You could do extra damage or destroy a creature with burn and you could also have an extra attacker to swing in for that extra damage. Either way great card!
Onto our 3 drops we have 7 that are ready to be played. First we have scab-clan berserker. This card is just fantastic over all. A 2/2 with hast that has renown is a good combination of abilities because we may be able to renown it as soon as its in play and it can also deal a bit of extra damage once it becomes renown. Afterwards it grows into a 3/3. It just great! Our other 3 drop is 1 Flamewake Phoenix. This card is a useful attacker and can assist the deck pretty well. A 2/2 with flying and haste is great. We can continue to deal damage every turn. Its ability of attacking each turn if able will just keeping damaging our opponent and add up in the end. Its already a large threat but it next ability make it worst. Its ferocious ability allows us to tap 1 red if we control a creature with power 4 or greater. If we do, Flamewake Phoenix returns from the graveyard to the battle field. Its a slim chance that we will get a creature with power 4 but it could happen. Its a good card since its an annoying and threatening creature to our opponent. Our last 3 drop is a Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh. This card is useful with it 1 damage burn. It just helps. What we want to do is to get her to the planeswalker side and see if we can out run our opponent. Useful if you ask me.
Now we move on to our instants and sorcery. We have 4 wild slash to start of. Its an effective burn and removal spell that should help us either destroy target creature of deal damage to our opponent. We really don't care about ferocious. There's a small chance of getting it which if we did trigger it, it could help us a lot but once again its a small chance. Our next card is 4 seering blood. This card is a burn and removal in a package. If I kill a creature with seering blood it deals 3 damage to opponent. Pretty amazing. We also have 4 lightning strike simply for removal or burn. Pretty useful. 4 stoke the flames allows us to deal a large amount of damage whether its for removal of a large creature or burn to opponent. Its convoke lets us simply tap creatures and pay as little mana as possible. Its useful. Our next spell is 4 Exquisite Firecraft. This card is an amazing removal or burn spell. It deals 4 damage to target creature of player and if we have 2 or more instants or sorcery cards in our graveyard (we we most likely will have) it can not be countered by another spell or ability. Awesome.
Moving on to sideboard we have 1 mountain which we might need for casting bigger creatures. You will see so is a second. Our next card is 3 hordeling outburst. This card is useful because it will allow us to have some blockers is opponent is playing large creatures. We have 2 more flamewake pheonix because... i'm not going to explain it again. Our next card is 3 thunderbreak regent (explains the extra mountain). This card is great because its a 4/4 flyer and if our opponent is will to kill it using spells they're gonna have to take some damage. 4 Roast are there just to kill some larger creatures. Our last card is 2 scouring sands. This is just a simple removal to clear our target opponents board.
That is all the deck has to offer. If you like it just let me know and if you also think there needs to be some improvement leave you suggestions in comments. It really helps me out. I've been noticing decks like this doing well in the pro-tour and I have decided to build a deck. Thanks for checking it our and follow my profile Iniallator98.
